1. Factorise:
(i) (a + 2b)(3a + b) – (a + b)(a + 2b) + (a + 2b)2
(ii) 2ab2c – 2a + 3b3c – 3b – 4b2c2 + 4c
(iii) x 2 + 6x + 9 – 4y2
(iv) 5 + 3a – 14a2
(v) a 4 – 625
2. Factorise a2b – b3. Using this result, find the value of 1012 x 100 -
1003
3. If the difference between the exterior angle of a n sided regular
polygon and an (n+1) sided regular polygon is 12o,find the value of n
4. Two alternate sides of a regular polygon, when produced, meet at
right angle. Calculate the number of sides in the polygon.
5. Three angles of a quadrilateral are equal. If the fourth angle is 69o,
find the measure of equal angles.
6. The length of the diagonals of a rhombus is in the ratio 4 : 3. If its
area is 384 cm2 find its side.
