Question 4 (1.5 points/10) Let A(−1, m, 1), B(0, 2m, 1), C(0, 0, 3/2), and D(13, −1, 5m).
Find m such that these 4 points lie on the same plane.

Question 5 (1 point/10 )
Assume that a closed electric circuit contains electric current I ( in amperes), a resistance
R(in ohms), an inductance L(in henrys), and an applied electromotive force E (in volts),
usually called a voltage. You may think of the resistance as tending to impede the flow
of electricity, the inductance as tending to keep the electricity flowing at a constant
rate, and the voltage as tending to increase or decrease the flow of electricity, depending
on the direction attached to the voltage. Kirchhoff’s Second Law says that the applied
voltage is equal to the sum of the voltage drops in the rest of the circuit. This law gives
rise to the differential equation
dI
L + RI = E(t)
dt
where L and R are nonzero constants.
If E(t) = cos(t), solve the above differential equation to find the current I(t) at time
R
t for which I(0) = .
R2 + L2
