P1-About Tesla and his ,,Doubted nationality”

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American scientist. HE spent most of his life in USA where he worked and of
course lived. He was born on 10th of July 1856 in Smiljan, Austria kingdom, today’s Croatia. Some people
are saying that he was Croat, and that is not true. Because he was born there does not mean that he
was Austrian or Croatian. He was actually Serbian. At the time Croatia didn’t even exist as a country, it
was part of Austrian-kingdom. It wasn’t until the end of 20 th century that Croatia got its autonomy. His
father Milutin was an Orthodox priest witch only proves his Serbian nationality even more. He was a
proud Serbian and all of us should be honored and proud to be the same nationality as one of the
biggest minds that ever lived. On the other hand, Austrians never tried to steal his nationality and they
even have more rights to do that than Croats.

P2-Tesla’s Life in the US and his work with Edison

Tesla moved to the USA to accomplish his science dreams on 6 th of January 1884 with a
recommendation from his previous boss for Thomas Edison (American Scientist). The recommendation
said ,,I know two great men, one of them are you (he thought about Edison), and the other one is this
young man (He thought about Tesla)” and Tesla got the job from Edison at his company Edison’s
Machines. He quickly developed and solved some of the company’s biggest problems. Soon after that he
got an offer to reproject the Generator for the one way electric energy. When it comes to living in the
US Tesla always stayed in Hotels. He would make a gigantic bills and never pay them.

P3-Tesla’s strange habits

Tesla was in some kind of love with number 3. It was like he saw something in number three that others
didn’t. He would walk three circles around the Hotel he stayed in before he would came in, he would
only live in the rooms whom it’s numbers could be divided by 3, he would wash his hands and brush his
teeth 3 times. He used to say ,,If you get the meaning of the numbers 3, 6 and 9 you will than have the
key of the universe in your hands”

P4-Tesla’s death

Tesla died in New York on 7th of January 1943 by the heart attack in his 83 rd year of life. He died poor and
in depths. As mayor of New York said that Tesla died poor, but that he was one of the most valuable
people who ever lived.
