People are not remembered for the number of times

they fail, but for the number of times they succeed.

Introduccion
This presentación is about Tomas Alva Edison. He was one of
the greastest inventors in history .
I am going to present about…
-childhood
-edison´s creations
-The war of the currents
-How and why he died
Childhood
His parents was a Samuel Ogden Edison, Jr and Nancy Matthews Elliott .

He was from Ohio, usa in the year 1847 . his education began after household
chores, his mother taught him to read and write correctly, as well as arithmetic.
Around the age of 9, Thomas began to read on his own, partly encouraged by
his father, Samuel, who gave him pennies every time he finished a book. Edison
was not satisfied with just reading, and began to carry out various experiments
based on what he read in Science books. He used an empty car as a laboratory,
where he also installed a small hand press for his proyects.
Edison's inventions
Some of them are
• Incandescent lamp
This was one of the most important inventions for cities. They work by
passing electric current through a tungsen filament, a material that, when heated
inside the glass,
• Phongraph
The phonograph system was characterzed by the analog
mechanical recording of sound waves to transform them into
mechanical vibrations , thanks to acoustic-mechanical transduser
• Movie camera
It contains the shutter, image sensor, LCD screen,
viewfinder and control buttons. The camera body also
houses the battery and the memory card that stores the
images.
The war of the currents
The War of the Currents was a struggle over the introduction of electrical
power transmission systems in the United States, Thomas Edison
participated in this conflict along with Nicola Tesla, both of whom
supported different types of currents: Edison supported direct current (DC)
and Tesla supported alternating current (AC). He tried to confirm that DC
was dangerous with mice and birds, but he ended up defeated by tesla and
its alternating current
How and when he died
He died on October 18, 1931 in West Orange, New
Jersey . As a posthumous tribute, the lights of several
cities were turned off for a minute. He died from
complications of diabetes at the age of 84.
Personal Opinion
This was one of the best presentations I have ever had the
opportunity to do. being one of the coolest characters in the history
of inventors.
