1 Open tool options

2 Select brush tool

selection.

4 Scroll down to and

press “Add brush
shape”

5 Import a .PNG file with

transparent background as your
new brush tip

Best size for the PNG file is

300 x 300px
Play around with the brush
settings to get the optimal
results.
Here are some settings that work well
with the provided texture brushes.

6 pressure sensitivity
off — to not keep the
opacity and the size
7 under control

7 randomize rotation
on — to avoid
repetition

brush size
between 100 - 300px

opacity
100%—more consistent

spacing
50-100 spreads out
the application of the
brush tip to the
canvas. Too dense
destroys the effect.

0 — Very heavy

Draw in front
Expected behavior.
Paints on top of
everything on this
layer.

Draw behind
Only paints behind
what is already
present on this
layer.

Draw inside Paints only inside

the painted area
already present on
this layer. Favorite
way to apply
texture.
Saving Brushes
And finally we don’t want this perfectly
crafted brush going to waste.
Especially if we plan coming back to a
brush often in the future.

Here’s how:

8 Long press the

brush tool to open
the brush preset
8 menu
In this menu you
can load and save
brush presets!

Now go out there

and create
something great
with those
brushes.
