17062023 FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION MESSAGE

Today is a special day where we celebrate and appreciate fathers. There is
no fatherhood without the mother. The great examples of
fathers, the best one is God, our Heavenly Father! He is the
pattern by which we model our lives as fathers.

One of the famous scriptures is when Jesus comes out of the waters of
baptism, the heavens open and the Father begins to speak saying, “This is
My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased!”

We want to draw a pattern not from God who is our Father!

Jesus taught us to pray, “Our Father who art in heaven!” So
there is a heavenly pattern from the Father above.

1. Fathers give identity to the children and affirmation to

who they are.

Sometimes we don't realize our responsibility. We give identity

to our children. In today's world they don't know male or female. In such
an environment the father is needed. So if we are a father, our
responsibility is to give an identity to our child.

The Father said, “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well

pleased!” He identified His own Son! Fathers need to give
identity to their children. Man always seem to be the last one on the
road. Fatherhood is a journey where we don't live for ourselves.

As a father we think of succession. We raise up children to

continue on with what we do. That becomes their identity, ‘I am a
son!’. Or else we find our children don't know who is father, who is mother.
Most of the time the maid is the mother. Sometimes the grandmother is the
mother and we give responsibility to the wrong people. Fathers give
identity to their children and they affirm, “You are my child, you
are my son!”

God the Heavenly Father took responsibility when Jesus fulfilled

all righteousness. Heavens open and He came out and spoke,

“This is My beloved Son!” Our children must find their identity
because of our words.

2. Fathers are responsible for the well being and success

of their sons.

It is difficult to do it with this generation. They know too much and most of
the things are irrelevant to life and godliness. Knowledge will increase.
Today we have Google, we can google anyone and we don't know
what we are reading is true or false.

Fathers are responsible not just to provide cash. Not just give
money for our wives to raise up children. It is a job together or
else we will find that the boy is weak in his character.

How many of us have fathers that will scold us? If that scolding doesn't
come, the well being of that child will be lost!

Fathers are responsible for the well beings of their sons. That is
why we need strong fathers so that our children takes the
attention from us or else they are all the while colliding with
their parents. The reason why we have to honor your father and
mother for that is the reason for long life.

That is one of the commandments in the Bible that is the promise for long
life! Which means continuity in the family. So what we start will not be lost.
So we need to go the extra mile to be clear that our children are
to be well, and healthy, and strong.

3. Fathers teach value to lay a foundation for life.

Our father can be a fisherman, could be a rubber tapper, could be a

launderer, fathers seeks value to lay a foundation for life! We don't
know until the tyre hits the road; the father’s advice, the
mother's instructions will all come back to us.

If we build accurately into their lives, they will sail through the
storms! They will walk through the fire and dance in the rain.
That is how our children will be! Money is not the issue. Most people don't

learn these things unless they learn it from their own family and the friends
they mixed with. We must be the first one to put value into our
children.

If we look at all the television shows, first there is no reality in those shows.
There are a lot of lies, a lot of compromise. Don't let television be the
guide to our children's value! Don't let wrong books and
philosophies become the value for our children's life. Teach
values!

In the education world, it is said in Japan, they spend the first three years
teaching just values so that the foundation for life is set on course!

4. Fathers offer a covenant relationship of unconditional

love and the flow of life is in accordance to the light they
give to them.

Father's love is the male love a girl receives and mother's love is
the first woman love a boy receives. That is why they are taught
right from the beginning of their birth destiny in their life! We
will seldom make a mistake if we are taught rightly. Most man
marry a woman who is like their mother. Are we amazed?

5. The Heavenly Father knows your needs.

There is a scripture in Matthew, ‘the Heavenly Father who sees you in

secret will reward you!’ The Father knows our every need. If we are
the father, we must be the first one to know every need of the
child. Don't let them be confused and get into trouble then come
to us.

Fathers take a serious role to be the first one to know the needs,
which means spending quality time with the child so that we
bring permanent answers not quick fixes.

If our child is suffering the same problem relationship get through his life,
we have not done our job. If we have done our job, we will know
their need. We will be the first one they will come to that should
gentle, kind, funny, wise and strong.

Our Heavenly Father knows our needs. There are too much
stress around the world. Be blessed and enjoy our children.
