Explanation  The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a Product Recall for ARCHITECT 2nd Generation 
Testosterone Reagent Kit, LN 2P13‐28, lot number 11245UP00. We have identified that the barcode 
on lot number 11245UP00 is not encoded with the most recent assay file.  

Impact on  There are two scenarios that could be experienced with this issue. If results are generated, they are

Lot 11245UP00 utilized with assay  An error code will be generated as the assay cannot run. 
file 235_013, “2GenTesto”   Results cannot be generated. 
Lot 11245UP00 utilized with assay  Assay will run and generate correct results. Values greater 
file 234_011, “2GTesto”  than 0.60 nmol/L will be displayed as >0.60 nmol/L on 
 
samples run undiluted. 

Necessary   Destroy any remaining inventory of impacted material according to your laboratory procedures. 
Actions   Immediately contact Customer Support to order a replacement lot. 
 To ensure optimal performance of the assay, please remove assay file 234_011 from your 
instrument using diagnostic procedure 6114 Install/Delete Assays if assay file 234_011 is present 
on your instrument. 
 Complete and return the Customer Reply Form. 
 If you have forwarded the product listed above to other laboratories, please inform them of this 
Product Recall and provide to them a copy of this letter. 
 Please retain this letter for your laboratory records.
