SUBJECT: REPLY TO THE NOTICE FOR THE ILLEGAL WATER SUPPLY BY SDM
NAINITAL

That, we received your notice regarding the closure of the running borewell at our Country Inn
Hotel Mehragaon, Bhimtal. We understand the gravity of the situation and have taken steps to
resolve the matter.

That, we have also prepared a new application for a new connection, but it is yet to be submitted
as it involves approvals from four other sub-departments, and we understand that it will be a
lengthy process.

That, we acknowledge that there has been no record of approval for borewell usage since the
inception of hotel operations. However, when we checked the old files at the hotel, we found a
few applications from 1990 to 1993, which are attached for your perusal.

In light of this, we request for further time to file the new application and obtain the
necessary approvals. We assure you that we will follow due process and comply with all
regulations. To avoid any ambiguity, we will be filing a fresh application.
