Mock Interview Rubric

This document is a rubric for evaluating mock interviewees. It assesses candidates on four categories: resume, appearance and poise, skill presentation, and delivery and language. Each category contains several criteria that are scored from 1 to 5, with 1 being far below standard and 5 being far exceeds standard. Scores for each category are totaled to provide an overall score out of 20 points. The rubric is used to both score and provide comments on candidates' performance in mock interviews.

  • Appearance and Poise: Assesses personal appearance and the ability to maintain eye contact and positive demeanor during the interview.
  • Skill Presentation: Examines the presentation of skills, focusing on clarity, organization, and confidence in highlighting strengths.
  • Delivery and Language: Reviews verbal communication skills including clarity, grammatical accuracy, and suitability of tone and expressions for the interview context.
