Task Performance
Objectives:

At the end of the exercise, the students should be able to:

 Discuss the characteristics of a model; and


 Solve simple systems modeling problems based on their classification.

Instructions:

Most people have stood in line in a store or a bank waiting to be served. The length of time a person
must wait is influenced by the number of people ahead of the line, the number of cashiers or tellers
servicing customers, and the length of time it takes for each customer to be serviced. Conceptualize a
model that would depict the typical events that can be found in this kind of system.

Part 1: Provide the following.


• Assumption and/or components of your model (Essay or bulleted format: 10 points)
• Detailed illustration of the system model (Illustration: 20 points)
