1. Give 3 scenes in the Movie that you think are immoral.

Explain or describe the

scenes.

The story of the life of PK on Earth evolves with the finding of his remote. Once the
language had been transmitted to his mind or system, he asked every person that he
encountered if they had seen this powerful remote. The only answer given to him was to ask
God, because He knows everything and will undoubtedly assist him in finding his remote.
However, his ignorance about the different religions led him to believe that once he prayed
something to God, it would be immediately answered by Him. The case was that this was not
necessarily true, which he had proven throughout the movie. So he started asking himself
which God he should believe in and even desperately distributed flyers, namely "Missing God."
For me, it was devastating. He came to this world without knowing how the world he entered
moves, and the only way he could go back home was stolen from him. He even tried every
religion he could find in order to find God and ask him to return his remote, but each one failed
him to the point where he broke down.

We also came across "wrong numbers," which are when priests or religious leaders
falsely bless their worshippers with fake solutions. These incorrect numbers have resulted in a
slew of immoral acts, which are clearly depicted in the film. As the public comes to terms with
P.K., they begin to notice how they are being fooled, causing hype around the country.

Thus, the three scenes in the movie that I think were immoral are:

A. Tapaswi claimed that while he was in the Himalayas remembering God, he suddenly saw
a great light out of nowhere that was pointed down to Earth and said that God was
about to connect with him. She showed to his followers the remote control owned by PK
and told them that it was Shiva's part of the drum that would be used to build a shrine
for them.

This exact scene represents fraud, wherein Tapaswi deceived his followers into believing
that the remote control that he bought from the thief for 40,000 rupees was a part of Shiva’s
drum that was given to him in order to build a shrine for the devotees. Thus, this whole
scenario is immoral, for it deceives people by using the name of God in vain.

Religious leaders like Tapaswi dupe people into thinking they are God's instruments,
spreading His holy word, when in fact they are gaining power for themselves. We live in fear,
helplessly grasping for any sign that He is speaking to us, and because of this need to be
answered, we frequently believe the interpretation of those around us, regardless of whether it
is good or evil. As it is rightfully said in the movie, "God made us, and He gave each of us the
ability to reason and think logically." We should use the abilities he has given us to question
everything around us. As René Descartes once said, "I think, therefore I am," and this points
out that to be human, we should question everything we encounter and not believe what other
people have said. Oftentimes, there comes a point in life where we question every single thing
that surrounds us, and this is what happened to PK in the movie. He took every piece of advice
from priests and commoners, but he still didn't get the answer he was looking for.

Then he suddenly wondered why there are so many beliefs and rules that people follow
and why there can't be just one god. This line also made me wonder about religion and why
people in the world have so many different beliefs. Sometimes I think of people using religions
as profitable business allegations. Tapaswi is one example of it, claiming that he has a
connection with God but that he used religion to make him money. Jaggu assists PK in
revealing Tapaswi's true character, who uses God to deceive and scare everyone, as well as to
have a lot of money and to praise.

This leads to awareness about misleading information that leads to fear because of PK's
curiosity. He was able to point out that godmen, like Tapaswi, use superstitions to confuse
people. This taught us that no superstition could control our lives. We must trust God that he
has a better plan for us, but we must work for it. God will guide us throughout the journey to
fulfill our purpose. The movie was able to deliver the message that God forgives even if we
make mistakes. It shows us that God will not give us challenges that we cannot conquer, and
he does not want us to suffer. It also taught us that there is nothing wrong with believing in
God or other forms of a supreme being as long as we respect each other's beliefs and do not
have the right to discriminate against them. This movie was able to clarify the concept of
superiority among different religions. I believe that only humans have made different religions.
It is also humans who confuse people because of their interests.

Another example of Tapaswi’s immoral act is when a worshiper asked him what he
should sacrifice in order for his paralyzed wife to heal, and Tapaswi said that he should travel to
the grand temple where all of his problems will be solved. To this end, PK questioned the
"word" of God that Tapaswi supposedly heard. Why would God tell you to travel for 8 days to a
temple where you will repeat the same problem and then God will fix it for you? If God is really
who Tapaswi is communicating with, He would not let His children suffer for such a long time
only to answer his question, which he could have answered in the first place.

In addition to Tapaswi’s immoral acts, Jaggu’s father objects to her relationship with
Sarfaraaz, a Pakistani Muslim, and only listens to their godman Tapaswi when he says that
Sarfaraaz will only use her, so she must delete him from her life and Jaggu should not marry
Sarfaraaz. The religion can have negative effects on ethics, as based on the movie, they have
no freedom to choose because the religion forbids it; they respect and trust their religion so
much that now they can’t decide on their own lives. Religions brainwash people because as
much as people always trust and obey their religion, there are times when they’ve become
unethical. Religion blinds people to the rightness and wrongness of things, just as people give
money for the sake of giving and believe that going to church will bless them. That's absurd
because, in my opinion, whether you go to church or not, as long as you repent of all your sins
from the bottom of your heart, the place has nothing to do with you. On the contrary, religion
also has positive effects on ethics, as it is based on morality, and right and wrong are also
performed by religion, so it makes it easier for people to learn and understand ethics, just like
in respecting others' lives. Then religion gives us hope, especially when there are times that we
have a problem, and it removes all of the unethical decisions in life, like suicidal thoughts.
Religion gives people unity, especially those who have the same religion, and religion also
teaches people to respect everyone’s religion.

PK then had the opportunity to speak with Tapaswi, who was now the target of
widespread hatred and abuse. He then had a heated verbal debate on live television, in which
Tapaswi asked him what he really wanted and why he questioned God's existence, and he
always said the wrong number, so what is the right number? Here he states that Tapaswi is
right about giving hope to the people to believe in God, but his one question is, "Who is the real
God?" PK said that the right number is the God who creates us all, and the duplicate gods that
were created by people like Tapaswi must be destroyed. The latter is the one that people
should abolish because they are being brainwashed by the leader of this certain religion, which
may lead to bribing them with money and making false promises. This point is very well taken
because, even though different religions have different names for their creator, there is only
one God, and it’s just that the people have different approaches towards him. PK proved to the
people that Tapaswi is a liar, a false prophet, and a fraud.

Religion is still relevant for us to be more ethical nowadays because it gives us more
information and reasons why an act is good or bad. Although people have different
understandings of religion, it can also give us a connection to God. I keep my moral beliefs
relevant in these current times of scientific and digital progress by not always believing what’s
on social media and not automatically reacting if I see something unethical. Nowadays, people
always tend to be carried away by their rage or beliefs, so for me, it is better to practice
patience and research where the statement comes from.

B. A terrorist organization set up an explosion because of the accusations made against

God.

One terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack, which happened at
the train station. They say that it is only one small example for those who attack them and their
God. This scene devastated PK because he had lost Bhairao, his brother and best friend. He
was about to meet Bhairao and the thief who stole his remote control when suddenly the
explosion happened. Thus, I considered this scene immoral since it involves killing and a lot of
lives were lost, regardless of its purpose. We can also relate this scene to what is happening in
our world right now since terrorist attacks by ISIS and other religious groups that claim they do
it in the name of defending their religion are also rampant.

No faith in modern society is as feared and controversial as Islam. It covers the common
opinion that it is an extreme religion that has elements of terrorism, authoritarian leadership,
gender imbalance, and civil war. However, the Islamic religion appears to be more complex
than we previously thought.

Firstly, there is a misconception that Muslims are terrorists and belong to very violent
religious groups. Most terrorists are Islamic, and this has contributed to the black painting of
the religion by the media and even by other religions. Other religions, such as Christianity, have
people who commit acts of violence, but their acts are not used to condemn the whole religion.
Osama bin Laden was a Muslim terrorist who contributed largely to the black painting of the
religion. However, not all Muslims are terrorists, and the number of violent Muslims is small.
Most Muslims commit acts of violence in self-defense or while trying to protect those that have
been forcefully expelled from their homes, and this is according to their teachings. However,
their faith does not allow them to shed innocent blood or harm civilians without cause. Islamic
teachings allow them to fight for their religion, and it is quoted in the Quran that they should
"fight in the cause of God against those who fight you but do not transgress limits." God does
not love transgressors. This led to the realization that not all Muslims are terrorists and violent,
but others do such acts in self-defense, and this is by their sacred law.

Secondly, there is a misconception that Islam oppresses women. Many people believe
that Islamic women are required to wear a veil and stay at home at all times. It is also a
common phenomenon that Islamic women are not allowed to own property or even drive cars,
and that they are forced to marry men by their parents. It is important to note, however, that
some countries do not follow Shariah and instead have their own cultural beliefs and values that
cause them to treat women in this manner. Islamic law has laid down the roles of each gender
and recognizes the two as two different individuals with the right to own property at will and
even dispose of it at will. The misconception about women being forced to marry men chosen
by their parents does not hold any water since the parents just suggest a man who they think
and feel is fit for their daughter. If the girl is not content, she is at liberty to reject the man.
Their law requires both genders to be modest in their conduct and dressing, and this is
supported by a quote from the Quran: "The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is
best in manner and kindest to his wife." It is therefore clear that Islamic law does not advocate
for any kind of oppression of women and instead treats them as individuals with their own
rights.

The third misconception is that Muslims worship a different god by the name of Allah.
The term "Allah" is an Arabic word whose meaning is equally the same as that of the term
"Eloh," as used by Jews to mean God. According to Muslims, the term refers to a single and
holy God who does not have a son or other human-like associates as proposed by other
religions. Muslims believe that Allah used various prophets and messengers to bring his
commandments and teachings to the world. As such, they believe in praising and worshipping
him, as well as obeying his commandments and following his teachings.

The fourth misconception is that all Muslims are Arabs. There are many Muslims in the
world who come from different nations and races. There are white and black races, with some
from African countries, some from America, and some from Arab countries, among other
continents.

Fifth, the Islamic world was spread by coercion and the use of a sword. This idea stems
from the fact that some of the social studies textbooks used in institutions have a picture of an
Arab coercing people to convert while in possession of a sword and Quran. This is a historic
perspective, and people should first read the Quran before passing on a judgment. This is
because some Arabs may have used force, but this is against the Quran’s teachings. A verse
from the Quran (60:8) says: "God forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you neither
for your faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them; for
God loves the just." Islamic teachings forbid compulsion in the religion and advocate for respect
and freedom of worship. As such, it is clear that religion respects other religions that are not
Islamic. There are numerous non-Muslim religious institutions that have flourished in the Muslim
world without interference from Muslims. If Muslims did not believe in freedom of worship, then
such religious groups would not flourish as they would be coerced to convert to Islam. Another
good example of how Muslims respect non-Islamic religious movements is derived from Caliph
Omar’s action in 634. When he arrived in Jerusalem, he granted freedom of worship to
everybody and assured the inhabitants that they were safe and were to retain their worship
places.

The sixth popular misconception is that all Muslim men marry many wives, in particular
four wives. Islamic teachings are widely varied when it comes to social requirements. Islamic
teachings allow a man to marry another wife, but the right is not freely granted to the man. If a
man intends to marry another woman, he must be fair and have a reasonable reason for doing
so. However, if the wife is unwilling to allow another wife in her marriage, she is at liberty to
include that in their marriage contract.

C. PK’s remote control necklace was stolen the moment he landed on Earth.

PK, who is an alien, lands on earth and is immediately robbed of the only thing he’s
wearing—his remote control necklace—to get back to his planet. During his travels to retrieve
his remote control, he asks thought-provoking questions and learns about the concepts of God,
religion, faith, and dialing the right number. What makes this scene immoral is the act done by
the thief. He was morally aware that stealing is bad and that it can have grave consequences
for his victim, like not being able to immediately go home. The thief took advantage of the
alien’s innocence and ignorance.

Stealing is an ethical problem and a dilemma that people find hard to answer based on
the nature of the act. Various ethical theories try to come up with a specific solution to the
problem. Still, it is impossible to find the answer since the victim of the act has different
motives. Besides, theories such as utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics counter-argue,
seeking the answer to the problem. In some cases, they give a specific direction on how to
answer the question. However, the nature of the actions and the result determine whether an
action is ethically right or wrong. In our case, stealing has affected the nature of the action's
perception, triggering critical reasoning in analyzing the motives that led to the action and the
consequence of the action. Ethical theories that are best suited to analyze the morality of
stealing include Kantian, utilitarian, and virtue ethics. Even though some theories might
consider stealing ethically right, I believe it brings more harm than good to society. Therefore,
stealing is the wrong choice to make.

To steal something means to take something that is another person’s property,

especially taking it without someone’s permission. It also means something was taken without
the intention of returning it and, of course, without any legal right. People would normally steal
because something was too expensive, or they might steal for fun. A big reason why people
steal is due to natural selection; they are trying to survive in a world that is full of dishonesty.
Stealing from someone you know or even someone you don't know is always wrong in my
opinion. If a person simply does not have the correct amount of funds to purchase something,
then maybe they can ask someone they know for help if it is a necessity or if the item is simply
not needed. Stealing does not mean stealing from a store; it can mean anything from identity
theft to a piece of candy. To be stolen from is a really bad feeling, let alone if someone is
caught stealing and gets into some big trouble. I've also heard that people who steal from
stores or in general never feel good about it. Stealing is never okay.

Dishonesty can actually be contagious, like the saying "monkey see, monkey do." A
person's reaction was largely determined by the implied social norms and the prominence of the
dishonesty. In the absence of access to formal employment opportunities, many homeless
young people turn to nonconventional survival strategies involving the street economy. One of
those strategies involves stealing, and, in this case, it is still wrong because they are young
adults and there are a number of places where they can find a job. Also, even though they are
struggling in life, it does not mean that they are allowed to steal from somebody else. There is
always another way out, and there will always be other help that does not include hurting
someone else.

Therefore, the scenarios stated above are immoral in my own perception.

For instance, in the movie, there is a scene where PK wanders around the town asking
where he can find this so-called "god." Numerous people directed him to various places of
worship, but during his search, he appears to become increasingly perplexed by the concept of
God. During his journey to find God, he meets different kinds of people who advise him to do
certain things or tasks to persuade the god of every faith. He follows their advice, but to no
avail—not one god answered him. This teaches us that there is only one God, and we should
only believe in him and not the gods men have made. We are brought into this world "naked"
and with no prior knowledge about the world or how things work. We are made to believe what
society wants us to believe, good or bad. There are numerous people who claim to have heard
the Word of God and are spreading it to the people, but there is no certainty that what is being
said is true. God comes to us in various forms, whether it be through our dreams or the people
around us, but it is up to us how we interpret this message and act upon it. It is still in our
jurisdiction how we perceive these messages sent by God, so there is absolutely no guarantee
that the "word" of God that is being passed around is true. It is important that we identify the
true meaning of God’s words with no external forces affecting the way we think and act
because this not only helps us attain a sense of freedom but also gives us time to think and
develop our own understanding of who God really is.

Furthermore, godmen make people believe that their religion is superior to others. This
idea led people to bring each other down, which creates hate among us. This movie allows me
to learn about the cultures of other religions. For instance, the ritual called "Shayana
Pradakshinam" captures my attention. This is the scene where PK rolls on the ground in front of
the temple. I learned that this ritual is performed to unburden the stress, ego, worries, and
negative emotions to connect the spiritual self with God.

The movie does not question the need for religion, nor does it question the existence of
God. It does not mock any religion; rather, it mocks the practices and blind faith that go into
the same. It does not question the core tenets of any faith, let alone Sanaatan Dharm. It
preaches that men must pray to God and that God will help them. It is an attack on mankind as
it exists today. It is teaching us to believe, to have faith in God, and to know that God helps
those who help themselves. It teaches us the value of true love, of self-confidence, and of true
faith; it teaches us to have faith in God and focus on our karmas. The protagonist, PK,
represents us, humans. Just like us, he came to earth naked and oblivious. Finding his remote,
I believe, is analogous to discovering our life's purpose. God allows us to experience challenges
so we can learn something from our journey.

2. What is the main theme of the movie? What are your

thoughts/realizations/learnings? Discuss.

In my opinion, the film covers a wide range of themes, but one stands out as
particularly important: religion. It is not about Hinduism; it is about blind faith, loot, lies, and
chicanery in religion. It is also a collaboration of narrative, music, and love. PK was able to tell
me that one of the causes of human misunderstandings is our varied religious views. Every
religion has its own set of traditions and beliefs, which cause us to misunderstand and fight one
another. The film is not a religious assault but rather a reminder of humanity's attitude and
actions. that even in the midst of our disagreements, we must be able to respect each other's
points of view. We may practice various religions, but we are all people at heart. Respect and
understanding are important for us to accept one another better. PK is a fantastic and well-
made film.

When I watch an Indian film on the internet, I always criticize it for how poorly it was
made. Sometimes it became a laughing stock compared to western films that produce good-
quality movies. But this movie, PK, was definitely a good film. No, actually, I enjoyed watching
it, to the point of making me cry. Now, I’ll show you why this movie caught my eye and ended
up making me love it.

"Which god should I believe? You all claim to believe in only one god. I say, No, there
are two gods. One is the creator of all things. The other one is the one created by people like
you.” PK is a hilarious but timely appeal to reason, logic, and common sense among a multi-
faith audience to see through the vague ambiguities, tricks, and public relations used by the
priestly class to keep their flock together and feed their coffers, all in the name of a wrong
brand of god. Thus, in my opinion, the reason why this movie became really controversial in
India, and the hate feeling was brought about because Hindus thought that their religion was
superior to other religions. Most religions think that their faith is superior and has some specific
dos and don'ts. Hindus hate PK because what he is saying is all against their beliefs.

This is a must-see film if democracy is to survive in a multicultural society. I believe the
community of "babas" and "deras" exposed in the video will be the most hurt, and they will,
predictably, employ every weapon in their arsenal to prevent this unprecedented revelation of
their existence. It would be absurd to suggest that the film is anti-a particular faith, even
though the idea is projected through the example of the majority faith in order to reach the
greatest number of minds. When people couldn't comprehend him, they told him to pray to God
for aid. That's when he began to wonder, "Who is God?" He ended up adhering to customs
from many religions, which further added to his confusion. He kept imploring God for aid since
he saw humanity doing the same thing.

The movie is open for individual interpretation and critical judgment. In my humble
opinion, the movie is simply an eye-opener because it provides the viewer with supporting
reasons and evidence for what to believe. PK (the main character) is mainly puzzled by the
sensible truth about different religions. He raised a question: "Where is God, and does God give
a mark on everyone saying the person is from a specific religion?" The film has taught me not
to blindly follow something that lies behind the vague; instead, it is better to constantly
remember the hows and whys of the things we've been through. It is okay and normal to be
curious, so never be afraid to seek out and fulfill the desire of curiosity in a righteous manner.
While on Earth, PK believes in God, the creator of the universe, because he needs to retrieve
his remote control necklace or pendant. Several times during the movie, they call him PK or
"Tipsy." The name PK is an abbreviation of Peekay. Peekay is a Hindi word that means "having
drunk." It is because he just looked drunk and exhibited strange behavior, but not in reality.

Initially, I thought I would get bored watching the PK movie because of the language
barrier, but surprisingly, I came to love it. The movie is about an alien, portrayed by Aamir
Khan, who lands on Earth from his planet to learn about life on Earth. It was shown in the
movie that the men of God make others believe that their own religion is greater. PK was
confused; he was troubled in several encounters, such as when he saw a lady wearing a white
gown, which a man said meant the lady was a widow, and then he saw another lady (a bride)
wearing a white gown. Overall, I have noticed that PK’s belief in God was more of a learning
style. Having the notion that only God can help him find his remote, he was just following what
everyone was doing. Out of desperation and ignorance, he does anything as he is told and
according to his observations. As the movie progressed, he realized that God is the hope of
mankind; people believe that there is someone who is looking after them and keeping them
going (he does mention this towards the end of the movie).

In finding his remote, PK’s destiny led him to the different religions that the people of
Earth believe in. There were different religions that were mentioned in the film, like Christianity,
Islam, Hinduism, etc., but PK cannot differentiate between all of them since he is an alien.
These religions have different beliefs, which PK has gone through in his desperation to find an
answer from God. This perplexed him because the rituals are so dissimilar. He did all of these
rituals, but sometimes got into trouble because of his ignorance towards them. He later realized
that it had a very profound meaning: a tradition that is sacred in one religion could be equally
offensive in another religion. The message of the film about religions is to respect people and
their beliefs. Each religion is distinct from the others. Even with the wide variation of these
beliefs, the people should understand that God created everyone equally. So, there’s no need to
separate people from each other because that may sometimes lead to war. When religion is
taken with a strong mind, it can be a blessing and a gift to people everywhere. It can provide
hope to people who need it the most, while inspiring others to take action and make positive
changes.

In addition, the act of faith was evident in this movie. PK wholeheartedly trusts God to
find his remote. Because of his faith in him, he has performed numerous rituals and sacrifices.
Faith is a choice of trust, and it is definitely seen that PK chose to trust Him. Many of the scenes
in the movie showed the rituals of the different religions, and it could be seen that the people
have a huge faith in their Creator. One thing to be considered is the fact that people should not
be judged because of their appearance; it doesn’t define their true faith in God. The movie
showed that the faith of the people should remain in God Himself and not in the ones that
people have created with such false promises. This film should serve as a model of morality for
others. Sometimes people tend to forget about God because He is not answering their prayers
right away. But God always has a plan and will guide us to the path we truly deserve. People
should never give up on God because God will never give up on them. He demonstrated His
love for humans through every action of which we were unaware God to find his remote.

Consequently, the viewers of the movie know that PK can read minds by holding
people’s hands. He used this as an instrument to help other people in need. There is a scene in
the movie where he gives money to Jaggu so she can go home. He stated that all he wants is
for everyone to return home because he is unable to return to his home planet. This is an act of
service because, even though that’s his only money, he is willing to give it to her selflessly.
Another scene is when he gave money to a random old man in the street. Jaggu didn’t believe
him at first and said that this old man had fooled him. But PK said that he gave this old man
money because it was his wife’s birthday. So Jaggu followed this man and suddenly realized
that everything that PK had said to her was true. Service can be seen in the tiniest bit of help.
The act of Jaggu helping PK find his remote is an act of service. It is very broad in the sense of
using these wide variations to promote a helping hand using different people’s styles. People
just need to do this wholeheartedly and selflessly. The connection and relationship of the
people may bring the humanities together despite conflict and difficulties.

Furthermore, the rise of PK's fame has had a significant impact on the people who are
following his life and raising religious questions. It has come to the point where the people are
brave enough to stand up and question the different rituals. This is not necessarily good, but
the point here is the desire of the people to know more information about their belief in God.
The result is that their communion has led the PK to the realization that God really is a powerful
and loving Creator. This truly unites people with one another, and the communion with God can
be truly evident because of their practices and faith. The point taken is that the communion of
God should lead the people to the communion of one another. What truly binds the people to
God is the action of being together as one to achieve a unified world to create peace and love.
It is the people’s responsibility to fuel others with compassion in collaboration with God’s
holiness and grace. The solidarity of humanity is directly tied to a common mission of loving
and praising God.

There is also a scene in the movie wherein PK enters this room filled with various
statues of gods worshipped all over the world; he then proceeds to talk to them, confessing
that he is confused. He proceeds to ask what he has done wrong for his cries not to reach the
Almighty Father. This is an extremely emotional scene; it depicts how, somewhere along our
lives, there will come a time where we break down and just ask, "Why is this happening to us?"
Why is it that no matter what I do, there seems to be no endpoint? PK then asks if he should
bend over backwards just for Him to hear his pleas. He has come to the end of his journey of
discovering different religions and their ways of worshiping, as clueless as ever. He then
declared that he would do anything and everything God desired; just let him go home. After
this moment of vulnerability, he still remains strong and continues his journey to find God,
persistently giving out missing posters to everyone he meets.

This teaches us to never give up, no matter how much suffering we are experiencing
right now. Even when we have hit rock bottom and there seems to be no way out, God is here,
and He will always be here. He has a plan, and he can hear you; it just isn't time for him to
answer you yet. God may not answer, but that does not mean He doesn’t exist; He isn't
answering because it is not the right time yet. We should have faith that He will never abandon
us because He is our Father and we are His children. Spirituality has become such a big deal in
nursing, especially in self-healing. I believe that in order for a person to heal fully, there should
be inner peace and acceptance of their fate. We should have faith that God has given us these
challenges because we are capable of dealing with and overcoming whatever comes our way.
Spirituality plays a big role in a patient’s overall health and is therefore needed to completely
heal the body. When we have spirituality, there will come a time when we feel content with our
lives and have a sense of purpose. I personally have felt a great distance with the Lord, but
once I opened my eyes and arms to welcome God into my life, I felt a sense of being whole. It
felt like no matter where we are and what we are doing, God will never let us suffer without a
cause. He has a plan for us, and all He ever wants is to love us as much as He can. He loved us
so much that He sacrificed His only son to pay for our sins, and this is clear proof that He would
do anything to be with us some day. God did not answer PK’s pleas because PK had a mission
he needed to fulfill during his stay on earth, and that was to teach everyone he encountered to
love one another. We are brought into this world with no knowledge of the outside world, but
God has already decided for us even before we became fetuses inside our mother’s wombs.

The movie is great, and the actors really did a good job portraying the characters in the
movie; their acting skills are high-class, and I like the soundtrack of the movie because it boosts
the feelings and ambience of the scenes in the movie, like when the comedy comes in, an alive
and entertaining background music comes in, and I can still jam to the music even if I cannot
understand the lyrics. In addition, I love how the movie opens the eyes of the people watching
about religion and the facts of life: how people actually live and act and the differences we have
based on our beliefs and practices; why children ask so many questions; and how people
become blinded by people who only use God for their own pleasure and bad intentions. It was
able to show the reality of society and religion clearly. I, as well, learned different life lessons,
such as being responsible for my actions and always doing the right thing. PK gave me an
understanding that there is a reason humans are given the ability to think logically, which
makes us accountable for every action we take and do it for good. It enlightened us about who
God is. It shows us that no matter what kind or form God is, he is forgiving and wants what is
best for us. This makes us think and reflect on the world we live in and how people look at God
in different ways.

Furthermore, I have realized that there is truly one God, even if we don’t see Him, and
that religions are man-made. Regardless if we are Hindu or Muslim or Christian or Sikh, it is
only we (humans) that have made different religions and communities where the disputes
amongst us are a result of human personal interests. I believe that God created everything
upright, but people tend to discriminate against others based on what religion they belong to.
Every human may claim that only God can help every mankind who believes in Him and trusts
Him to make things right, but we must ensure that we follow only one God (the loving,
everlasting God), and not go and follow such liars of a God's people who claim to be close to
Him. Believe in God, but not in God’s men. I’ve also realized the importance of love and the
sacrifices we make to be able to express, spend time on, and share the teachings of God about
love with our family, friends, and even enemies. Yes, enemy, because praying for them entails
loving them as well. Let us not be deceived; let us not prevent anyone from believing; we must
see things in a broader context; let us maintain our faith, hope, and love. Finally, I realized that
we, like PK, were once innocent and knew nothing, like Adam and Eve right before they ate
from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the remote was our way to go home to where
our father, God, was to flee this world full of sins that have corrupted how we perceive things,
where there are gods made by people, where inequality is present, where there is injustice,
where people will judge you based on your economic status, and many more.

Religion is practiced and believed in various ways; some people slaughter cows while
others worship them. Some wear slippers inside their place of worship, while others remove
their shoes and clean their feet before entering. All of these vary, but one thing is for sure:
there is only one God, and He comes in different forms and sizes. Therefore, Rajkumar Hirani’s
PK film became an eyeopener to the different religions in the world, exposing various takes on
who God is and their own ways of worshipping. The film became a reminder that we should
remain humble despite all the hardships we have faced and will face, as we are just specks in a
mighty container of all of God’s creations.
