Conversation on the phone

For some reason, phone calls in English are much more difficult than talking to people face to
face. Maybe it's because you can't read the person's expressions or get cues about their
meaning from their gestures. Or maybe it's because you're already nervous before the call
starts. Preparing in advance for a phone call in English is one of the best ways to overcome
these difficulties. Make a list of some vocabulary and phrases you will need to get the
information you want. Then review the study materials we've prepared to learn the most
common phrases of telephone English. Finally, don't worry about asking people to repeat
themselves or to speak more slowly when you're on the phone in English.
Example :
Mohan : Hello.
Meena : Hello, Micro Computer centre.

Mohan : Can I get Miss Deepa, please?

Meena : Please hold on. Let me see whether she has come.

Mohan : Hello, Deepa hasn't arrived. May I know who's calling?

Meena : I'm Mohan, Deepa's brother.

Mohan : Any message for Deepa?

Meena : No thanks. I'll call again in the afternoon.

Mohan : I'll tell Deepa that you've called and will call again. May I hang up?

Meena : OK. Thanks.

Complain + solution
Protest or complaint we often do . One example , when we order a long time then the food
came from. Of course , our instinct says that we should not protest ?
Here are the expressions of complaints against something that does not give satisfaction to us.
- Excuse me, but there is a problem with ...

- I really must object to ...

- I am sorry but this is not like what I expected

- I want to make a complaint about ...

- I think there is something wrong about ...

solution
The solution is a way of solving the problem without pressure. If someone gets a complain
from someone else then he should apologize for his mistakes.
