Kahaani (2012)

Kahaani is one of the best Mystery – Thriller films ever made in

Bollywood till date. It was released in 2012 Directed by Sujoy
Ghosh and produced by Sujoy Ghosh & Pen Studios. The
protagonist was Vidya Balan. The story starts with a Poisonous -
Gas attack in Kolkata metro railways in which many passengers
were killed. After some years Vidya Bagchi (Character) who is
pregnant software engineer use come to Kolkata from London
during Durga Puja in search of her missing husband Arnab. The
Story Starts with finding Arnab and ends with twisted suspense.
The budget of the film 8 Crores INR and the film made 104
Crores INR. From the trailer launch, only the story was very
fascinating and made a different impact on the audience's mind.
After the trailer launch some critics of India said that this film is
not going to work as a year ago Vidya Balan had done The Dirty
Picture which was a fully different genre film from the Film like
Kahaani. But when the film launched the film made a huge
impact in the Mystery - Thriller genre in the Bollywood industry.
The film made a huge success because of the storyline, Music,
and dialogue delivery of the actors from the film and the acting
of the Vidya Balan as pregnant women. The director Sujoy Ghosh
became famous after the success of the film Kahaani and said
we will also launch the 2nd sequel of the film. And the film also
put the mark of the top 50 thriller film of all time in India. After
winning 21 Awards like 3 - National Awards, 5 – Filmfare Awards
and including IIFA, Zee Etc. After this, the film made a tight slap
on the critics that with a low budget a film can get returns in
crores. In the first week only the film collected 23 Crores. The
film sets an example of having a strong Story with a low budget
can also be a Big Success in the industry.
