INTRO:

Masters: You've been flown out to Greenland to take a job offered by the Chaldea Security
Organization. You were promised pay, protection, and an artifact of interest to you or your
family. At the current moment, you believe the site director must be looking over your
documents, though you doubt they flew you out here just to turn you down.

Demi-heroes: Likewise you are waiting for the site director here to review the results of your
synchronization tests. It’s been a few months since you were fused with a Heroic Spirit as part
of an experimental program through Chaldea. Given that you are not in the main Chaldea
headquarters, you doubt the results are a total success.

Another man also sits in the room, he introduced himself as John earlier. It looks like he's a
Chaldea technician. He weirdly waves to both of you and then continues to fiddle with some
wiring next to a lamp.

After a while... the door opens. Out walks Remelyn Forvedge, as identified by her name tag
lapel, and you can’t forget her pointed face from when she was just on the plane ride with the
both of you over here.

Next to her walks a woman you hadn't seen before, but who seems to be acting as Ms.
Forvedge's secretary.

Remelyan exhales smoke and then motions to both of you. "Uh, right. The bunch of you, meet
me down at the command station. Er, I guess just follow me, we haven't had time for a proper
tour, euurgh... and John stop fixing the lamp and work on the AC like I told you!"

She shivers, the Chaldea uniform not doing its job of keeping anyone warm on its own.

Remelyn doesn't wait for your response before she heads further into the station. The other
woman motions to you kindly, speaking in a British accent. "This way, if you please."

Remelyn meets you down a few sets of stairs across a large walkway, on the other end which
you can see five large Coffins, and a multi-facetted orbiting circle. She pushes a button on the
control panel next to it and the machine whirs to life.... and then sputters out, before Remelyn
gives it a few kicks with her boots, and then it whirs to life again. "I swear, they won't even...."
She devolves into grumbling as she works on the control panel. "Jane you explain it to them
while I get this pile of bolts working."

The other woman nods. "I take it you have read the manual you received with your Chaldea
application? You all should be very familiar with this device after your simulation training? In
either case, this is our operational FATE system and SHEBA, perfect replicas of the...."
Remelyn angrily smacks at one of the knobs on the control panel. "Our near perfect replicas of
the tools used in the Chaldea headquarters."

"We picked up a minor singularity that needs clearing and I'm afraid that leaves little time for
introductions or applications. Consider yourselves all hired, formally. You'll find that we're
often in a rush here with Team D." She gives you a warm smile, shielding a panicked Remelyn
from view. “Too often, perhaps… But not to worry, myself and Ms. Forvedge will remain in clear
communication with you throughout the whole process. Now if it's almost ready... you seem
certainly capable enough, with the aid of the Spiritual Cores we have prepared for you."

Remelyan seems to have finally got the system working, and all the Coffins light up along the
edges as she wipes her brow. "Gods... sorry about all of this but some formalities that Jane
loves might have to wait. Do you have any questions, or are we clear? You came all this way
after all, I should expect you understand most of what you can see here. Er, in concept anyway.
Right?"

She puts out her smoke in a small tray next to the control panel, looking at the players while
her assistant moves to prepare a metal case with multiple artifacts inside.

"We have some pertinent information for you, but judging by the timeline, this singularity is
much more modern than any other we have seen before, located in Europe. On this basis, we
expect that the level of strength exhibited by any opposing forces will be a great deal weaker
than what one might be prepared for."

The assistant nods. "Precisely, with these Spiritual Cores, you'll have an advantage in power,
even if there are overwhelming forces. However, given that it is a more modern singularity, we
can't be certain of what one can expect…"

Jane motions to the lit coffins. "We can finish preparations once you've arrived at the desired
location in time and summoned your heroes. Me and Jane analyzed these, all artifacts capable
of producing top quality heroes. The test will be in how well you can utilize them."

She puts another cigarette in her mouth before closing the metal case and handing it to you.
Then lights up her smoke. "But this will be as good a test as any simulation we could have
prepared. Just be careful, our FATE system can't handle multiple summons. If the hero’s
spiritual core is destroyed, that will be it for them." She snaps her fingers as Jane finishes
preparing the coffins. "Even in the worst, you'll have the demi-hero to protect you, all trained
by Chaldea's finest, so be sure to protect them too. Beyond that... if that name of yours lives up
to its legacy, you'll be a fine enough mage to know what to do."

“If you are ready now, then get in. Time is of the essence."

The players are a mix of Master, Hero, and Demi-hero (with at least one of each). They are
members of the D Team, tasked with ensuring the erasure of more minor singularities, at least
until they can prove themselves.
CHALDEA TEAM:

Remelyn Forvedge:

The leader of the Chaldea Team D. A thin older woman, her hair is scattered blond and grey,
looking frazzled as she smokes a cigarette.
Remelyn is a nervous wreck most of the time, always worried about her own position and
consequences, a terrible worrywart. Her specialty is in time magic, but she mostly uses it to
give herself more time to complete paperwork. She leaves most of the administrative and
oversight tasks to Ms. Austin.

Jane. True name: CASTER Jane Austin:

A fine young woman in her early 20's, with curly black hair stuffed in a bonnet. She wears the
Chaldea uniform that has fused with a corset and dress, covered in lacy frills. Though she
smiles cheerfully, you can feel her eyes drive into your soul with a piecing intensity.
Jane is the Team's assistant hero (similar to DaVinci in FGO). Jane is a hero not well versed in
combat, she but has biting insights into relationships and personalities of people.

PL: A Life in Letters. Showers Jane with letters of the target's most personal correspondence,
allowing her to piece together their relationships and personality from the letters alone. A
purely supportive PL that reveals secret information on a target. If the letters are read aloud, it
can also have an affect on the target’s attitude by calming or enraging them.

ALLIES:

RIDER Amelia Earhart:

She is a tall woman in a pilot's uniform and aviator glasses. Striping off her helmet and
glasses there is a bundle of tangled brown hair and glowing brown eyes, her face worn and
pulled by a perpetual grin.
RIDER serves at the aid of the French British and USA alliance. She's rapidly advanced the
flight technology of the defending army, letting them fend off invasion, for now. She fights with
impressive speed from inside a plane and can summon a squadron of fighter piolets to aid her.

PL: One Woman Around the World. A supportive PL that reveals the entire globe to Amelia’s
allies for 24hrs, allowing them complete surveillance of any events in that time. However, after
using it, Amelia will disappear forever, so she is hesitant to use her PL unless forced to.
ARCHER Franz Ferdinand:

He's a stout man with a bushy mustache that covers his whole mouth, while his head is nearly
a perfect rectangle shape. With droopy worn eyes, he wears an Austria-Hungary commander
uniform and holds a pistol at his hip with a shaky grip.
ARCHER serves as the Leader for Allied forces under siege in Germany, but he is a rather
weak hero. He does not even have a PL… though he has the potential to develop one if he
continues to survive and claim victories. He knows that his fame from proper history came
from his death, making him cautious to ever engage in the front lines. Since he is fated to die,
he hopes that his death this time will be a tool to end wars, not start them.

ENEMIES:

RULER Thomas Masaryk:

A man sits in the chair adjusting spectacle glasses, with suit and tie, topped by a broad
brimmed hat. As they see you and stand, they bear the posture of true royalty, a man who has
taken the world's burdens onto their shoulders and holds the world's pain in his eyes. He
adjusts his spectacles, then begins rolling up his sleeves.
RULER wields the Holy Grail and has united the Eastern European nations, taking control over
Austria Hungary, seeking to expand across all of Europe. He has an additional skill The Realist
which decrease the ranks of all heroes from folklore or myth in his presence. He is not much
of a fighter himself, however.

Thomas is the cause of this singularity, as he saw the devastation that WWI would cause,
especially how it would fracture the Baltic states for the rest of history. He is determined to
unite his people, even if that means bringing the French British and USA alliance to heel.

He is a unique hero who is capable of summoning other heroes, acting as the Master of
LANCER, SABER, and BERZERKER. He tried to form a contract with CASTER and ASSASSIN,
but they escaped his control and are enacting their own agendas. As long as they do not
interfere with his plan to unite Europe, he does not prod them further.

PL: Hrad Politická. A supportive PL that drastically increases the defense of his allies within
their territory, making them nearly impervious to magic or physical attacks, but also draws all
attention to himself as the center of government. As long as this PL is active, everyone within
its range knows his exact location.
SABER Jovan Nenad:

He looms tall over the battlefield, the stature of a giant among the other soldiers. His face
marked with reddish brown hair, eyes that watch over the scene like a hawk, and a twisted,
scared greatsword in his right hand. The most noticeable thing is a pitch-black line that runs
over his right side, making it look as if his whole right side was marked in ash. He throws
aside his green cape, revealing an armor of furs and a shield.
SABER is a skilled swordsman and peasant hero of Serbia that once united the Serbian nation.
Also called the Black Man, he is invulnerable on his right half due to the divine mark that
divides his body. He has a skill that gives him increases damage against King or Noble heroes.

PL: Vojvodina, Моја мисао је превладала. This PL can claim large swaths of territory that are
impossible to reclaim, create continuously spawning armies, and raise the rank of his allies
within these regions. It is not directly combative but very useful for area control and cutting off
a master’s access to Leylines.

LANCER Vratislaus II, First King of Bohemia:

The man stands with the posture of a king, smiling graciously. Their face clean shaven, sided
by twisting amber curled hair. They wear a three-point golden crown, holding a massive lance
that has one side made of solid gold, the other end of the weapon fluttering as a banneret. He
wears a nobleman battle attire, intricate chainmail fitted with gold fillings.
LANCER is Thomas's hero who is intended to be the leader of the new united Slavic nations, or
at least their figurehead. He has a skill that gives him increases resistance against religious
heroes, due to his history of him rejecting his religious brother.

PL: Zlatá Kopí Mlhy, Rudolph. Golden Lance of The Mists. A weapon PL that is half lance and
half banneret, it can summon a thick wall of mist to the battlefield that allows for both attacks
and retreats. Foes who travel straight through the mists will always end up lost and flanked by
Vratislaus.

BERZERKER Koschei:

BERZERKER is a bloody warrior that wages war on the eastern front in Russia, obliterating
troops singlehandedly. It takes time for Thomas to recall him back to Prague for defense,
however. He has a special weakness to magic users, especially women, as they are usually
the ones who trick him in folklore.

PL: Deathless. This is a continual PL that hides his soul into an egg, into a chicken, into a goat,
into an ox, into a house. As long as his soul is untouched, he can’t be killed. Damage to the
house or animals can only remove one layer at a time. The house is always somewhere nearby
Koschei, as he gets weaker the further away he is from where his soul hides.
SIDE ENEMIES:

CASTER Queen Lubossa:

The queen sits resplendent in her throne, weary white eyes that brush over you only as a
courtesy. Her robes of red and purple draping down the steps to her approach, wrapping her
heavy chest in fine silks, through the style of a simple housewife, if not for the excellence of
the colors. A face carved from stone in the sharpness of her features, crowed by intricate
spiked gold.
CASTER is the founder of the Czech people. She is a powerful magic user and highly
clairvoyant. Her powers of divination are so great that sometimes she becomes lost in a vision
of the future and ignores the present.

PL: Přemysl Oráč. Her PL summons her husband to her as a False RIDER hero. If her husband
is ever killed, Lubossa can always resummon him.

FALSE RIDER Přemysl the Plowsman:

The man is covered in sweat and dirt specks, wielding a plow in one hand, and walking stick in
the other, though he holds them as if they were not tools of the field, but weapons to strike
down god. He wears only workpants and boots, his chest and arms ripped with muscle from
his hard labor.
Lubossa’s husband as summoned by her PL. With the blows of his plow he brings famine and
desecration. With the wave of his walking staff he summons and controls plants.

ASASSIN Pied Piper of Hamelin:

She leans on a gnarled tree branch, dark orange hair that drips like a weeping willow down to
the ground, obscuring her face except for the glow of her yellow eyes over brown skin. The dirt
stains cover her hands and feet like gloves, her clothes that of a simple peasant girl, but she
holds a chalk white flute in her hands with the conviction of a killer.
ASASSIN is an innocent Romani girl, wielding incredible power though her flute. She is rather
unhinged however, extremely distrustful of anyone who tries to take advantage of her. She
does not trust Thomas as he tried to control her, but she also does not trust the French British
and USA alliance. By persevering the singularity, she believes that it will avert WWII in the
future and prevent the deaths of more Romani in the holocaust. She also HATES kids, either
fleeing at the sight of them or making them run away from her.

PL: This PL’s name is in the form of a song, Piper can activate it simply though playing a single
note on her flute, allowing her to gain complete control over a person’s body. The younger a
person is, the more susceptible they are. Even plugging your ears will not give any protection.
GENERAL STORY OUTLINE:

The players arrive in Paris, at a time where WWI should just be ending. Instead, in this
singularity, an alliance of Czech and Slavic nations have conquered over Germany and Austria
Hungary. They have moved the trenches to the outskirts of Paris and deep into Russia,
threatening to gain complete control of Europe.

1. The players will have to team up with RIDER and ARCHER after arriving, learn about the
situation, and perhaps test themselves against RIDER to see if they are up for the task.
Remelyn and Jane give help through holograms and communications.
2. The first battle is SABER, who is the servant at the French battlefront, the players must
defeat them if they hope to give the French and British forces some breathing room.
3. After that, the players must plan how they want to move East, to the enemy capital in
Prague where RULER and LANCER are.
a. If the players go through Frankfurt, they reach the capitol faster, but this gives
RULER a early warning of the players and thus more time to recall BERSERKER
back from Russia.
b. If the players go to the marshlands to the North of Frankfurt, they run into
ASSASSIN.
c. If the players go to the mountain lands in the South of Frankfurt, they cross the
territory of CASTER.
4. Once the player reach Prague, they must fight through LANCER to find RULER, before
BERZERKER returns to defend him. CASTER or ASSASSIN may also appear to stop the
singularity from ending.
a. It is likely that RULER was given their holy grail by an even greater force, the
true mastermind of the singularity, who then confronts the players in a final
battle, or escapes to another timeline to continue the story.
