INFORMAL LETTER

TASK 1

Hi! I will be in your town with my friends next summer for a couple of weeks. We love taking
photos, so could you recommend interesting places in your area? What about public transport?
Also, are there any good restaurants around? I'm so excited!

Hi Emma,

It was a lovely surprise to get your email. I´m really looking forward to seeing you next
summer!

Honestly, I´d highly recommend that you go to the park which is next to my house. Don´t
you think it´d be a wonderful idea to photograph green spaces there? Also, how about going to
the natural reserve? You´ll be able to get images of the wild life that can be found there.

To tell you the truth, I reckon that public transport would be the best idea to travel, because
it´d be very useful for saving money. In addition, you won´t have to keep your mind
concentrated in the road to avoid an accident.

As for restaurants, I´ve come up with an idea: make sure you go to the one known as “The
Flavour”. I´ve gone there and it seems to me that it´s the best place to try both typical and new
dishes. You could get a complete menu for a low price and it includes desserts such as an ice
cream for free!
