Bridge Design Description
1. Drawing units: Inches
2. Draw the bridge shown using Array, Text, Hatch,
Ellipse, and Qleader commands.
a. Columns: refer to the details of columns
measurement
b. Bridge is symmetrical in the center
c. Assume reasonable value for any missing
dimensions, if any
3. Add the text boxes and arrows
4. Show all dimensions of the bridge

Lecture 7 Exercise: Bridge Design Basic Steps

1. Draw the right column


2. Draw an Ellipse with the major axis 40’ and the minor axis 10”
for the central cable of the bridge.
3. Draw the cable on the right side of the bridge
4. Draw the right side gravity wall
5. Use the Mirror command to draw the left side of the bridge
6. Complete the bridge drawing using Array, Hatch, Qleader
commands
7. Apply text and dimensioning
8. Create a pdf file of the bridge using standard scale on A size
paper
9. Upload the pdf file in Canvas under Homework 7
