1. If you have personalised number plates fitted to the vehicle and
wish to retain them, you must exchange the plates at a MVR office
before completing the sale/disposal of the vehicle.
2. Complete and sign all sections that refer to you as the Seller.
3. Give the APPLICATION TO TRANSFER section to the Buyer.
4. Submit both sides of the NOTICE OF DISPOSAL at a MVR office or
email mvr@nt.gov.au.
1. Confirm the Seller has the right to dispose of the vehicle, that the
vehicle is not reported as stolen, not recorded as written-off, and is
free of encumbrance (money owing). You can do this by checking
the Personal Property Securities Register ppsr.gov.au.
2. Check the vehicle details match the registration certificate.
3. Complete and sign all sections of the form with the Seller.
4. Submit APPLICATION TO TRANSFER section with relevant
documents and applicable payments to the MVR.
