The Death of a Lecturer

The Crime:
The lecturer (Vikram Rajput) who is the H.O.D of mathematics department is
found dead in his chamber. He is found dead lying on the floor next to a fallen
chair.
The autopsy report states that there has been a blow to his head but the cause
of death is cardiac arrest followed by heart failure and no toxins were found in
the body, and the time of death is around 4-5 pm when all classes students got
leisure period to practice for the coming sports meet.
Interpretation and forensic investigation of the crime scene states that there
were some signs of struggle, no potential murder weapon was found, no
strains of blood, small scratches on the hands, chalk powder on his collar, a
contact lens on the floor, a broken bangle near the table.
Medical history of the victim states that he recently been taking intravenous
injections for some disease, so he had an intravenous needle pinned to his
hand and he had no heart problems which makes a fact that he has very less
probability to die of a natural heart attack.
So, what happened here? Well, we do have four suspects. Let’s check out
them.
The Suspects:
We had tracked down the four prime suspects: A, B, C, D
The four suspects have been seen entering and exiting the chamber in the
possible time frame of death.
Names of the suspects are A-Sandeep Maheshwar; B-Ankita Singh; C-Priyanka
Rathore, D-Raja Krishna

A: The suspect A is the H.O.D of physics department. Suspect A and our victim
are in a race for Vice principal post. These two had their rivalry for very long
time. One time our suspect came on to a verge to lose his job because of our
victim. Again, few days back our victim pinned the suspect A in a mischievous
act that he didn’t do, which made the vice principal post impossible for the
suspect A. The suspect can even lose his job permanently after the decision of
college management which is going to be taken a week later. After the loss of a
H.O.D, the management can’t let go another one which can cost them huge.
In the interrogation he says that, he went there after his class and they just had
some argument and he left the room with anger. According to the footage he
entered the room again after suspect B and came out within two minutes. He
said that he just went in there and came back and done nothing.
B: The suspect B is a botany teacher in the same college. Apparently, she is
having an affair with both our victim and suspect A. In the investigation, one of
the contact lenses and a broken bangle of the suspect B is found near the chair
in the room.
In the interrogation she said that she went to casually meet him and when she
found that he isn’t there, then she left. When she is shown the found contact
lens, broken bangle and the camera footage which proves that she is in there
for some time, she admits that she searched for the victim’s mobile which
contains pictures of her using which she was being blackmailed to make her
support him for the role of vice principal which she initially denied to do so and
she left as soon as the victim arrived from the washroom. Later she went to
suspect A and narrated the whole incident.
C: The suspect C is a normal girl student of BiPC of the same college. She
admitted that she went there because she was summoned by our victim. She
says that she just talked about some subject topic and have returned to her
friends. She is also the daughter of our suspect B.
D: The suspect D is a calm, introvert, avid reader, highly intelligent, MPC
student of the college. He is usually bullied by the class boys. Few days ago, he
was taunted by our victim in a grave manner which broke him and made him
even cry.
In the interrogation he says that he went there to give a book to the lecturer
and by the time he went into the staff room the lecturer is dead. He went
there to seek an apology. He also says that the physics lecturer might have
murdered him. He also says that the mathematics lecturer is a bad guy who
taunts kids like me and sexually abuse girls, that he had seen him harass a girl
who is our suspect C.
The Solution:
After the interrogations, observations, deduction the protagonist narrates the
happened events.
Here we go,
When suspect A entered, they got into some clash, the suspect holds the collar
of our victim, then the chalk powder on the suspects hands was stick to the
victim, but later he left from there. Now our suspect B enters and finds him
absent and tries to search for his mobile, then our victim arrives from the
washroom, and finds her and grabs her during when one of her bangles broke
actually two out of which she took one and thought she had left no evidence,
this was deducted when there are eight bangles on one hand while the other
hand has only six. After her suspect A went in there to confront about the
incident with suspect B, then the suspect C entered and then our final suspect.
Anyone could have killed him.
But the killer is our final suspect, I have seen a book in his bag which is a crime
novel written by Divyansh, a famous writer. In that book a murder is done
because the villain abuses the lead character’s lover. And the murder is done
by injecting Lethal dose50 of Potassium Chloride 2.6 gm/kg of target’s weight.
If one man of 80kg to be poisoned by potassium chloride he needs to be
ingested 208 grams either orally or intravenously. It is impossible for the kid to
do it orally, he is very lucky that he found the victim lying in the chair
unconsciously due to the blow to his head, oh, wait a minute I forgot to talk
about the blow to his head, when our suspect C entered the room and the
lecturer tried to harass her when she blown him with his copper water bottle
which now has a dent and she left from there, then our killer injected the
potassium chloride intravenously to our victim. Apparently over dosage of
potassium chloride causes cardiac arrest and death under a minute and cannot
be found in the autopsy report unless you are specifically looking for it. To
prove the crime, check the intravenous pin for potassium ions and the bag of
our killer for the injection.
So, Raja is our killer, he loved the girl from distance but when she was harassed
by the lecturer, the love towards her made him to take vengeance on him. Of
course, one can easily get potassium chloride from the chemistry lab.
