The accounting subject plays a crucial role in equipping learners pursuing a
degree in Accountancy Business Management with essential skills and knowledge
necessary for a successful career in the field. Nevertheless, a number of problems and
difficulties have been identified in the accounting teaching and learning process,
which may have an impact on how effectively learners develop their accounting
skills. This research abstract aims to present an overview of the accounting-related
issues and examine the accounting knowledge and abilities of students in the field of
accountancy business management in Zaragoza National High Scool.
The study used a quantitative research design, with google form serving as the
primary method of gathering data an were sent to the ABM Students to assess their
experiences with and difficulties with the subject. The survey also aimed at evaluating
the learners' competency in various accounting skills and pinpoint any potential areas
that needed improvement. Data collected from the survey were analyzed using
descriptive study design. The findings provided an overview of the problems
encountered by learners in the accounting subject and highlighted the proficiency
levels in different accounting skills.
The analysis showed that learners' levels of proficiency in accounting skills
vary. The results of this quantitative study shed important light on the difficulties that
accountancy business management students face in the subject as well as the extent to
which they are proficient in accounting.
