Significance of the Study
The basic premise of this study is to determine the difficulties encountered by Grade 12 ABM students
on the selected topics in Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business and Management 1 and proposes a designed
group study that will be beneficial to the following:
Students
Being the major beneficiaries of the outcome of the study, this may enhance their knowledge and skills
in the difficulties they encountered on the selected topics in Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business and
Management 1 .If the difficulties encountered by Grade 12 ABM students will be clearly determined, a
designed group study on these will be applied and difficulties encountered by Grade 12 ABM students will be
lessened.
Accounting Teachers
This may serve as their reference to determine that there are Grade 12 ABM students having
difficulties on the selected topics in Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business and Management 2 specialized
subject. If the difficulties encountered by Grade 12 ABM students will be clearly determined, accounting
teachers may conduct an intervention program to address the problems in Fundamentals of Accountancy,
Business and Management 1 specialized subject.
School Administrators
This study will serve as an assessment to improve the teaching method of accounting teachers in
secondary level. If the difficulties encountered by Grade 12 ABM students on the selected topics in
Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business and Management 1 will be clearly determined, school administrators
may conduct training program to address the problem in teaching accounting.
Future Researchers
This might encourage them to conduct further studies in determining the difficulties encountered by
Grade 12 ABM students on the selected topics in Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business and Management 1
and improve the process and/or procedure.
