BACKGROUND OF THE PROPOSAL

This study is about the relationship between the studying technique to the academic performance of grade 12
accountancy business and management in the course subject fundamentals of accounting business and management.
The objectives of this study are to determine where the G12 student has difficulty when it comes to accounting, to identify
the struggle of ABM students when it comes to their major course which is fundamentals of accounting business and
management and to assess whether the study has helped to reduce the student's problem when it comes to accounting.
This study’s objective is connected to the objective institution because this study can help students to develop their
studying techniques by knowing where they struggled. Fund is an essential part of conducting research. Researchers
needs fund because conducting research has many needs for the materials. This Study is conducted by six (6)
researchers and they are Aldin Jez E. Petallo, Luiza Belle M. Piquero, Katrina M. Sadsarin, Tricia Mae T. Sanchez, Aeron
Jay A. Sugatan, Monica C. Sibayan. The researchers participate to this study because the outcome of this study can help
the researchers since they are ABM students and this study can help the future and current ABM students and the
researchers also states that they struggled too and need to identify what will be develop to decrease the struggle and to
find an effective way of studying technique. Background of the Study G12 students have difficulty when it comes to
accounting so our research title can help alleviate the problems of accounting students. many students fail in accounting
due to a lack of technique the student needs to study accounting techniques so that they will not have difficulty when they
come to college. it needs to be researched to find out where students have difficulty when it comes to accounting and to
know how they will use the techniques. There are different specialized subjects in Senior Highschool that focus on a
particular field of knowledge. Fundamentals of Accountancy and Business and Management is one of the specialized
subjects under the academic career track, ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management). This subject is one of the
most difficult subjects in Senior High School and the major subject in ABM. Learning professional subjects in accounting is
not like reading a novel, memorizing, or even lust mastering the accounting terms (Mercado et al., 2016). The main focus
of this study is about, why ABM students have difficulty in learning this subject and what are the techniques or ways they
use to learn easily. The researchers decided to conduct the study because some grade 12 ABM students find it hard to
understand the lessons and also some are struggling to use worksheet, and some did not understand the
accounting. This study will be direct towards its main objective to determine the Academic Performance of Grade 12 ABM
in the Course Subject Fundamentals of Accounting Business and Management in STI College Rosario. Specifically, the

researchers seek the answer to the following question. The ABM student’s academic grades on fundamentals of
accountancy business and management, students studying techniques and the significant difference in the studying
technique to the academic performance of Grade 12 ABM when grouped according to demographic profile. Learning to
study effectively is a long-term practice. As one continues to learn, new strategies and methods emerge that provide fresh
information and take one down an intriguing and fruitful path. As a result, learning how to study or developing effective
study habits is a lifetime effort, and one should be willing to adapt one's study style to the needs of the moment. The
formation of healthy study habits is the road to an individual's goals, whatever they may be. (2014, A.S. Arul Lawrence).
Fundamentals of ABM 2 must be discussed in order to determine the subject's importance in the ABM strand. Basic
accounting principles, accounting ideas, and accounting terminology are introduced in Gadiano et al. (2017)'s
Fundamentals of Accountancy, Business, and Management. This course covers the debit and credit rules that are
necessary for successful accounting performances. Every ABM student's knowledge of Gadiano et al. is built on this
foundation (2017).

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:


1. The goal of this research to get a participant from STI College virtual class.
2. The study aims to help the students who have been struggling to understand the Fundamentals of Accounting
Business and Management and the relationship of Studying technique to the Academic Performance of Grade 12 ABM
in accounting.
Specifically, it aims to determine the following:
1. To determine where the G12 student has difficulty when it comes to accounting.
2. To identify the struggle of the ABM student.
3. To assess whether the study has helped to reduce the student's problem when it comes to accounting.

METHODOLOGY AND TIMELINES

This research uses a descriptive method in form of a survey to investigate the relationship between the studying
technique to the academic performance of grade 12 ABM in the course subject fundamentals of accounting business
and management
However, this study is based on quantitative data-gathering instruments.
This study employed the survey questionnaire in a descriptive method to determine the influence of different studying
techniques to the academic performance of grade 12 ABM in fundamentals of accounting business and management
in Rosario, Cavite.
Research Instrument

This research uses a descriptive method in form of a survey to investigate the relationship between the studying
technique to the academic performance of grade 12 ABM in the course subject fundamentals of accounting business and
management
However, this study is based on quantitative data-gathering instruments.

Sources of Data
The primary source of data that the researchers use is a survey questionnaire in descriptive form was the
researcher’s main data gathering instrument and the second data gathering source is the internet.

We allotted our time, efforts and cooperation in developing questionnaires clear words so as to serve to its intended
respondents. The survey being implemented was done using suitable questions from related research and individual
question formed by the researchers. The data gathered form this researched instrument were collected and organized
according to the answers responded by the participants.

(Fundamentals of Accountancy Business and Management). This will also aim to know what are the effective techniques

or ways that ABM students can use.

Parents – this research can assess parents in guiding their children and won't have difficulty to advise in their children’s

studies.

School – this study will help the school especially the FABM teachers to know their student's needs and make an efficient

and effective plan for the students.
