Overall Unit Information Self-Check
(PSC_OTE)

Unit or Course Base Ten: In this unit, students will work independently to create a piece of artwork using See 2.VII
Goal(s) base ten blocks (paper or virtual) and share their artwork with their peers using Flipgrid.
Students will be able to create and identify a three-digit number in base-ten numerals,
number names, and expanded form. Students will also create a number sentence that
equals the number they have represented. This unit will use the fully online model.

Standards Name of standards: Georgia Standards of Excellence See 2.VII, 6.I

Grade/Year: 2nd grade (7-8 years old)
Subject: Math
Standard (as written):
MGSE2.NBT.1 Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts
of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones.
MGSE2.NBT.3 Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names,
and expanded form.
MGSE2.NBT.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.
MGSE2.NBT.7 Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and
strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between
addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method.
