3 Sinopsis
This book is written by Denti.G.Louise. Pg 200.It is about proactive teacher and empowering students by providing teachers with
general classroom operating principles for establishing and maintaining classroom control. Besides that, it also provides ideas,
strategies and activities for teachers to manage classroom. The book explains about some general classroom rules that teachers
can introduce in their classes for students to follow. Not only that,it explains how recognition and rewards and punishments can
help teachers to discipline their students as well control their class during teaching and learning sessions.

4 Nilai Pengetahuan / Pengajaran


This book educates teachers on what to do, where and why and how to manage their classrooms as a class teacher or during a
normal teaching and learning session. Through this book teachers can learn how to plan activities for back classes or classes
with students that has discipline problems.

Teachers can get more knowledge on how to control their classes and some valuable ideas for classroom management.

7. Sinopsis 

The book is written by Prof DrJohn Arul Phillips and Sharifah Muzlia Syed Mustafa. Pg 200. The book explains what is
counselling and the differences between counselling,guidance and psychiatry. Six popular significant counselling theories are
discussed: psychoanalysis, the Adlerian approach,person-centered approach, gestalt therapy,behavioural approach and the
rational-emotional behaviour theory. Next, the book also explains the counselling process that is discussed involving five
important steps:relationship-building,problem assessment, goal setting,intervention strategies and termination. Each chapter
of the book explains all the concepts,principles and theories of the counselling that are examined in relation to their
application in school counselling. The book also discuss the implication of the various theories in counselling in the school
and other settings in education. The last part of the book deals with group counselling, ethics in counselling,developing the
skills of the counsellor and the use of psychological tests in the counselling setting. The main aim of the book is to provide us
with a foundation on the principles and theories of counselling and their application in the counselling situation.   In conclusion,
the book helps differentiate between counselling, guidance and psychiatry. Furthermore, the book also compare the different
counselling theories focusing on their explanation of human nature and counselling approach. Additionally, the book also
explains the different steps involved in the counselling process as well as identify the different skills required of good
counsellors. Not only that the book also identify the list of the ethical and legal issues involved in counselling and the
application of different principles and theories of counselling in the school and other educational setting. 

8. Nilai Pengetahuan / Pengajaran

I as a teacher learn the origin of counselling from 1900s until today. I also learn various definition of counselling and the
differences between counselling,guidance and psychiatry. I also learn the three counselling theories. I as a teacher also learn
the mental events involved in the processing of information as well as the constructivism which emphasizes that reality is
constructed by the learner. I also learn the attributes of critical and creative thinking and how it may be enhanced using
counselling and guidance in the teaching classroom. I also can use the information to design teaching instruction. I also learn
how human learn from text and the role of motivation in buiding a student. I also learn about psychoanalysis theory by Freud
Adlerian and person-centred approach by Rogers. I also learn about behavioural theory by Skinner and rational-emotional
behaviour by Ellis. I also learn that diagrams and visually appealing can be used in counselling. I also learn the importance
given to guidance and counselling in the workplace, in the family,in health care and of course in schools. I as a teacher also
learn the relationship between response,consequence and future behaviour. I also learn about positive
reinforcement,negative reinforcement,positive punishment and negative punishment.

Teachers can learn about guidance and counselling and how to use to improve and further enhance students motivation and
learning .
