Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing to you regarding any vaccancy that Vanda Institute might have for a lecturer of English. As an
EFL teacher with over ten years’ experience, I know my diverse skills and qualifications will make me an
asset for the institute.

As you will see in my enclosed resume, I have considerable experience of working with students from a
variety of different backgrounds. I am a teacher who is skilled at communicating practical knowledge and
experience to students learning English. I played the many roles as an administrator, a trainer, a supervisor,
and a facilitator as well as an inspiring teacher while I was working at a few English private schools in
Takeo. This makes me a conscientious, self-reflective, flexible, responsive, and supportive teacher.

I believe that thoroughly planned lessons which foster in-class interactions are effective tools in teaching.
Thus, I will facilitate my students based on their proficiency levels and needs so that learning English
becomes fun and curiosity for the students. However, the input has to be slightly beyond students’ current
knowledge (i +1). I find that the meaningful input-output-production learning process plays an important role
in acquiring English language. I will design a variety of tasks to help my students achieve academically.

In addition to my practical experiences, I will complete all requirements for my MA in English program in
less than one year. As you may know, Norton University is one of the few that offers such a specialized
degree in Master of English and Education. This should be of great benefit for my effectiveness in teaching.

I am confident that my degree, along with years of practical teaching experiences, enables me to make a
great contribution. I will put teaching practicality to students’ learning outcomes. I would welcome the
opportunity to discuss my interest and experiences in teaching with you further.

I am looking forwards to hearing from you soon.

Faithfully yours,

Un Virak Soeurn
