Kodaline is an Irish rock band that formed in 2005 under the name 21 Demands.

The
group consists of Steve Garrigan (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Prendergast (guitar, backing
vocals), Vincent May (drums, backing vocals), and Jason Boland (bass guitar, backing
vocals). They later changed their name to Kodaline in 2012.

The band gained initial recognition in their home country of Ireland through
appearances on talent shows and by building a strong local following. However, it was
their 2013 debut album, "In a Perfect World," that propelled them to international
success. The album spawned hit singles such as "High Hopes" and "All I Want," which
received significant airplay and chart success.

Kodaline's music is characterized by heartfelt lyrics, melodic guitar-driven soundscapes,

and emotionally charged performances. Their songs often explore themes of love, loss,
and self-reflection, resonating with listeners on a personal level. Their music has drawn
comparisons to bands like Coldplay and Snow Patrol, with whom they share a similar
anthemic and atmospheric style.

Following the success of their debut album, Kodaline released several more studio
albums, including "Coming Up for Air" (2015), "Politics of Living" (2018), and "One Day
at a Time" (2020). Each album showcased the band's growth and evolution,
experimenting with different musical styles while staying true to their signature sound.
