 Lostprophets
Lostprophets are a Welsh rock band from
Pontypridd, formed in 1997. Founded by
vocalist Ian Watkins. To date, Lostprophets
have released four studio albums, most
recently releasing The Betrayed on 13
January 2010. They are also part of the
Cardiff music scene. The band have
achieved two top ten hits on the UK
Singles Chart "Last Train Home" and
"Rooftops", one number one single on the
Alternative Songs chart "Last Train Home",
and several Kerrang! Awards and
nominations. Lostprophets are most
commonly termed nu metal and hard rock.
However, a wide variety of influences have
been noted in their music, with other
genre tags applied to the band including
alternative metal.
 The Blackout
The Blackout is a post-hardcore band from the
Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, formed in 2003. After
some time backing Lostprophets on their
Liberation Transmission Tour, along with
Dopamine and Kids In Glass Houses,, they
released their first mini-album The Blackout!
The Blackout! The Blackout!. In October 2007
the band released their debut album, We Are
the Dynamite!. Their second record, The Best In
Town was released on May 25 2009 in Europe
and June 23 2009 in the US, both via Epitaph
Records.
 You Me At Six
You Me at Six is an alternative rock band
from Surrey, England. The band rose to fame
in 2007 with the success of their debut
album, Take Off Your Colours, which included
the singles "Save It for the Bedroom",
"Finders Keepers" and "Kiss and Tell". The
latter two peaked at 33 and 42 respectively
in the official UK Singles Chart. They were
nominated for "Best British Band" at the
2008, 2009 and 2010 Kerrang! Awards,
 Kasabian
Kasabian are a British alternative rock band
that formed in Countesthorpe,
Leicestershire in 1999. Originally comprising
vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and
keyboardist Christopher Karloff, guitarist and
backing vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, bassist
Chris Edwards, the band have released three
studio albums – Kasabian (2004), Empire
(2006) and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic
Asylum (2009). The band currently features
Meighan, Pizzorno, Edwards and drummer
Ian Matthews. Pizzorno also took over as
Kasabian's lead song-writer after the
departure of Christopher Karloff. Also,
Kasabian means "butcher" in Armenian
 Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro are a Scottish rock band from
Ayrshire, comprising Simon Neil (guitar, lead
vocals), James Johnston (bass, vocals) and Ben
Johnston (drums, vocals). After their first three
albums, the band expanded their following
significantly with the release of their fourth,
Puzzle in 2007. The album went gold in the UK,
selling over 100,000 units. Biffy Clyro's
popularity was built upon further in 2008 and
2009 with the release of the singles
"Mountains" and "That Golden Rule", which
both reached the top 10 of the UK singles
chart. Their latest album, Only Revolutions,
reached #3 in the UK chart and went gold
within days of its release in 2009, later going
platinum in 2010 and was nominated for the
Mercury Music Prize.
 Kids In Glass Houses
Kids in Glass Houses are a British rock band
from Cardiff. Citing influences ranging from the
classic pop of The Police, Michael Jackson,
Prince, and The Beach Boys to the British rock
of Stereophonics, Blur and Pulp to the
hardcore/punk stylings of Glassjaw, Refused
and The Movielife, the band is part of the
Cardiff music scene. The band's name is
inspired by a lyric in Glassjaw song "Tip Your
Bartender". The line is "not throwing stones at
you anymore". Kids In Glass Houses also
supported Stereophonics at Belsonic, a music
festival in Custom House Square, Belfast.
 The Used
The Used is an American rock band from
Orem, Utah. The band was founded in 2001
and signed to Reprise Records the same year,
they rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing
their self-titled debut album. They followed up
with their second album, In Love and Death, in
September 2004 and their third album, Lies for
the Liars, in May 2007. An EP, Shallow Believer,
was released in February 2008 that featured
most of the band's B-sides to date. They spent
the entire year of 2008 working on their fourth
studio album, which was released on August
31, 2009, called Artwork. The band has
achieved both Gold and Platinum statuses in
more than six countries worldwide
 The Script
The Script are an alternative rock band from
Dublin, Ireland. Currently based in London
after signing to Sony Label Group imprint
Phonogenic, the band released their self-
entitled debut album in August 2008. Their
music has been featured in video games and
the popular teen programmes 90210 and
Waterloo Road. The first single from upcoming
album Science & Faith has been confirmed to
be a song named "For the First Time". "For the
First Time" was released in September 2010
and the album Science & Faith was released on
13 September 2010.
"For the First Time" has entered the UK charts
at #5 and moved up to #4 the following week
and entered the Irish charts at #1.
Science & Faith entered the Irish Album Chart
and the UK album chart at no.1
