We require three people with good IT and communication skills to work in Sheffield
Hallam University's Digital Technology Services (DTS). The post will be based in
the Campus IT Services which provides second line IT and Audio-Visual Support
to students, academics and central departments.

DTS provides a range of IT and AV services for the University

Your main duties will be to respond to second line IT and AV support calls and to
assist in the deployment of PCs and other IT hardware to student labs and Staff
offices. You will be responsible for diagnosis and resolution of IT and AV faults,
frontline IT and AV support both face to face, via telephone and email and
escalating support calls to third line as appropriate.

You will have experience of using Windows, experience of using a variety of PC

software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel. The ability to explain technical
subjects clearly to inexperienced users, the ability to work under pressure,
sometimes alone and unsupervised and the ability to acquire new technical skills
quickly.
