The uncertainty principle, formulated by Werner Heisenberg, establishes a fundamental limit to our

ability to simultaneously measure certain pairs of physical properties of a particle. It states that the
more precisely we try to determine the position of a particle, the less precisely we can know its
momentum, and vice versa. This principle fundamentally challenges the deterministic worldview of
classical physics and implies an inherent uncertainty and probabilistic nature at the quantum level.
