Dear Citizens I have come here to tell u all about the depth and the current condition of Climate

Change in the
US. Even as being a developed country, our nation produces 6558 million metric tons of carbon dioxide every
year and this count is increasing. Climate Change are the large-scale shifts in the weather patterns that
happens due to global warming and human-induced greenhouse gas emissions. Climate change is a big issue
for all of us to tackle as this might as well be the doom for humanity. Our world had already started breaking
CO2 records back in 1950 during the Industrial Revolution. At such a pace of global warming in not much time
our world will become a boiling pit of water. During Donald Trump’s tenure he had officially removed US’s
name from the Paris Agreement which stated that we would control our greenhouse gas emissions and
conserve our geographical resources. This year I have signed that agreement again.

Climate change has already given us a taste of the massive extinction event that is going to take place if we do
not stop. Weather Patterns have shifted immensely, people in the world have not seen rain in 7 years and
some have seen rain of a year in just 7 days. Europe is colder than the arctic and Oymyakon in Russia has beat
records on temperatures in Antarctica. With such a rapid change 150000 people die every year due to these
catastrophic events all over the world. Uses such as extreme vehicle usage, rapidly increasing factories based
on fossil fuels, deforestation and lastly usage of animal food products. Consuming animal food products again
releases a gas called methane. With all these harmful gases in our atmosphere, sunlight that enters our Earth
cannot escape as these gases trap them in our atmosphere which results in global warming. Due to global
warming sea levels increases by 3 millimetres every year, our freshwater supply stored in glaciers and ice caps
is melting down into our seas.

With such a high rate of sea level increase in a few years coastal cities or even entire nations can be completely
underwater. Entire islands in the pacific would drown. Another really important factor that leads to climate
change would be the rising population of our world. The global population has tripled in the last 70 years and
we expect to see an increase of 1.5 billion people by 2050.

This is not just a threat to the current generation but also the future of our kids. During the recent times due to
high levels of carbon dioxide many babies are affected every year and do not survive, why? Because we cannot
stop the use of our cars. People have suffered from health problems due to global warming and high CO2
emissions. At least we can make a change just by thinking about the generations of our families.

Now logically defeating this problem is easy, we don’t use our vehicles as frequently as we do, prefer public
transports, switch to electric vehicles, shut down fossil fuel-based factories and switch to completely
renewable energy. However, all of this will take a huge amount of time to imply in our lives. Renewable energy
being almost triple the price of fossil fuels, we need heavy fundings and also time and we have none of them.
What have we done yet? nothing, other countries like India and Morocco are switching to complete renewable
energy plants. They are working on even more projects in the coming years.

Now it’s our turn to take action, we cannot stop the effects on climate change but we can definitely slow it
down. We plan on reducing vehicles that run on petrol and diesel. We will be reducing the prices of public
transport by a huge amount. We are implying and have already started working on renewable energy plants
and projects. Even though closing down factories is going to be a huge drawback in our country’s
development, but if there is no country what will we develop? We are partnering with Electric Car companies
like Tesla. We are initiating new policies on fossil fuel usage and are putting a complete ban on non-efficient
fossil fuel generators. We are starting research and development programs such as the Advanced Research
Project Agency-Energy and the Natural Gas STAR program. We are working with various businesses to reduce
emissions. And on a global scale we are working with many countries. But lastly, it’s all down to what you do.
It’s those little everyday things that we need to change in order to expect a better future for ourselves.

We are all in this together and if we get out it has to be with all of us together solving this. So, remember
switch to electric vehicles or use public transports, reduce meat consumption and do everything carefully.
These small steps will have a huge impact in slowing down Climate change and I can assure that.
