IMPORTANT ROUTINE MAINTAINCE: ( SURVEY / AUDIT / ETC )

1. FIRE WALLET
( CREW LIST / CARGO MANIFEST ): GREASED AND WATER TIGHT
( RAISE REQ FOR NEW )
2. Fire line : stencil ( pressure tested, isolation V/V, drain V/V ) De-rusting
particularly from bottom part.
3. Nozzle: cleaning and oiling
4. IMO posters: around gangway and accommodation space to be
maintained.
5. Muster station: poster, imo symbol , arrow, standing spot, r/b and l/b to
be cleaned.
6. Forward l/R light: red paint
7. All emergency light: painted red and working
8. Hoses: min 5 should be very good condition ( gangways, aft, forecastle
deck), 2 nos.: Accommodation ( bridge wings )
9. Hose boxes: imo symbol, condition paint if required, spanner for coupling.
10. GMDSS test carry out.
11. MOB MARKER: handle to be painted red, operating nut free, stencil
of date of exp, knot with buoy should be tight.
12. DCP powder photo if possible.
13. L/B and R/B: rr tape , items to be arranged , relevant certificate
displayed, tiller arrangement should be free, and boat should be cleaned.
Try out lights while weekly inspection.
14. Fire dampers: galley and where required,
15. SCBA: over all condition , place of stowage, guage clear, radium
working, visor should be clean, bottle should be charged.
16. Life buoy: light should be working, rr tape, stencil both side, grab
line should be clean
17. Fire extinguisher: proper stowed, clean and ready for use check
locking arrangement.
18. Fire hose seizing: turned green clean
19. Foam applicator: check solution certificate should be placed, using
instruction and nozzle clean, grased and in proper order.
20. Fire man outfit: Physical condition no holes etc, organised.
21. Co2: if spare available in correct nos. mark and keep as per weight.
22. All routine should be up to date and maintences record to be
updated, specially for fixed fire fighting arrangement.
23. Bridge life jacket light should be operation and not expired.
24. Immersion suit: zips should be waxed or apply vasiline should be
free, check condition should be properly stowed. ( check once twice month
or during drill )
25. Life jacket: lights should be operational and not expiring, ships call
sign, and relevant marking to be stencilled and visible, clean if dirty.
( check once twice month or during drill )
26. Learn requirement for relevant lsa and ffa arrangement and also
maintences requirement.
27. Fwd l/r, immersion suit and life jacket, imo poster and embarkation
ladder condition arrangement and stowing should be inspected.
28. Embarkation ladder: Store properly and fabricate cover if possible
( even for rescue boat if have a free fall life boat ).
29. Before , audit, inspection etc: take print out of requ raised ,
pending etc if asked can give used as statement of proof for any missing
item.
30. PMS: keep updated before audits etc / update every Saturday
31. Seafarer familiarization / non sea farer familiarization: updated
chronologically / check dates entered should be acceptable.
32. Manuals: To be updated to latest forms / and signed by new joiners
33. Muster list displayed and muster card to be synchronised and
updated as required.
34. Solas manual to be updated as required and signed by new joiner.
