EASY-TRONIC
MRL-490 Cabinet – MRL-390 Cabinet
To execute the preliminary tests use a maintenance box connected as the following schemes show.
Do not install the cabin box yet (EASY-C card).

EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Checking the EASY-TRONIC station wiring diagram when indicated, connect the following circuits.
1) :
Connect the power supply to the IFM switch (wiring diagram
page 0), fig. 1
Figura 1
Figura 2
2) :
Connect the motor wires to terminals M4-M5-M6 and the braking resistors to P+ and DB
(fig. 2)
3) :
Connect the brake wires to terminals DM50/DM60 positive (+) and to DM51/DM61
negative (-) (wiring diagram page 4), fig. 2

4) :
Connect the motor thermistor
protections to the M7-1/2 terminals (wiring
diagram page 2), fig. 3
5) :
Connect the brake monitoring switch
wires (normally closed) to PT1-2 and PT3-4
terminals (see wiring diagram page 4), fig. 3

7) :
Remove the P4/1-P4/4 connection on the EASY-EVOLUTION (restore it at the end of the
procedure)
8) :
Connect the maintenance box with flat cable as per the scheme below

EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: at the end of the procedure restore the connections according to the EASY-
TRONIC wiring diagram, making sure of the correct connections of the safety chain
(wiring diagram page 3)
9) :
Check that the LED lights of the EASY-EVOLUTION safety area (SUPPLY, SHAFT, CAR,
SWING DOORS, LOCKS) are ON, fig. 6
Figura 6
10) :
Check that the EASY-D display shows “MONT”, fig. 7
Figura 7
11) :
Remove the VVVF upper cover, fig. 8

EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
15) :
A. Press the PRG button to enter the main menu
B. Select menu 2 FUNCTION CODE with the DOWN button and press SET to confirm
C. Select menu 2 DATA CHECK with the DOWN button and press SET
D. Select the F03 parameter with the DOWN button (motor RPM) and insert the motor plate data
E. You can jump between parameters groups by pressing SHIFT and DOWN together
F. Press SET to modify the F03 parameter
G. Modify the F03 parameter by pressing UP or DOWN
H. Press SET to confirm the value of the F03 parameter
I. Repeat C, D, E, F, G, H to modify the other parameters
I1. F04 parameter “nominal frequency”, insert motor plate data
I2. C06 parameter “maintenance speed”, 50% of nominal speed
I3. C07 parameter “low speed, 10% of nominal speed
I4. C10 parameter “intermediate speed”, same as nominal speed
I5. C11 parameter “nominal speed”, insert motor plate data
I6. P01 parameter “motor poles”, insert motor plate data
I7. P02 parameter “kW motor”, insert motor plate data
I8. P03 parameter “nominal current”, insert motor plate data

EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: If when the lift is moving the warning “ERE” appears or the elevator doesn’t move
correctly, it’s probably needed to invert 2 phases of the engine (VVVF U/M4 with v/M5), check
the brakes and start the procedure over from step 1.

EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
↓ = decrease value
↑ = increase value
Starting phase settings: change the settings in the following order, after having activated the
rollback (L65=1)
Note 1: to avoid the start with the brakes still closed, F24 must be higher than the brake opening
mechanical time
Note 2: for the VVVF to execute correctly the handling of the anti-rollback, F24 must be 0,1
seconds higher than L66 (default F24=0,9 and L66=0,8)
L24 S Curve 25 ↑ 5
11
EASY-TRONIC - MRL 3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
L26 S Curve 25 ↑ 5
Nota 1: always verify that L40>C07 and L41<C11 to have fixed gains during phases of constant
speed. For example C07=1Hz and C11=10Hz, L40=2Hz and L41=9Hz
Note 1: if the lift doesn’t hold at the floor, first off verify that it’s running on low speed; if you’re
unsure of this, halve the C11 high speed and verify that the lift is running at low speed for a few
seconds; then increase C11 gradually
Note 2: always verify that the main contactors are opening at least 1 second after the brake
contactors; this to allow to the VVVF to correctly execute the stop phase. If main contactors are
opening early you could experience the following malfunctions:
If you hear a bang/noise from the motor, lower the H67 time
If after stopping the lift “slips” up or down increase the H67 time
If after stopping the lift slips AND you hear a noise, increase H67 time and increase the
breaking time of the main contactors
