SANGOLAJA

SANGOLAJA

In my tradition, we believe, that before we journey

MEET from Orun ( heaven) to Aye (earth), our heads, your
Ori, is witness to our destiny. This memory is
THE embeded and entrusted to our Ori, which acts as
ARTIST our guide, or, higher self as we travers through life
in this market place, on our way to the next.

Inspired by Obeah and Our Ori, reminds us pf the path we choose, and
my Ancestors there fore our Ori, head, is praised first and
offerings are make regular to appease Ori so that
we never lose connection with our head. As we
embark upon our journey we take with us tools or
energetic connections that will bring us Ire and
Ase. Those energetic connections gift us names.

My name, Sangolaja, means Sango brings peace. I

am also Osunkunle, Osun fills my house and
OnaKomaya, which means my art emboldens me.

My Ori and I have embarked upon a journey to

unearth my destiny and i welcome you to come
along with me.

Here, I am sharing portraits or Spiritual Masks.

Each painting is a person. Sometimes I am allowed

to "hear" or I may suddenly encounter distinct
scents. I have even been allowed to feel warmth
while painting.

These paintings I enjoy most. It is a small window

into humanity and I am grateful to ability to feel
and share and connect.
