1. The pressure monitor is located in the high pressure pipe (in liquid form under high pressure)
before the expansion valve in the climate unit. The high/low pressure monitor switches off the
power to the compressor if abnormal pressure occurs.
2. The drier absorbs all moisture and filters away any particles in the fluid. There is a pipe on the
outside of the drier that goes to the bottom of the climate unit in the cab. Since the fluid level
is higher than the end of the pipe, the refrigerant is prevented from leaking out of the drier as
a gas.
3. The purpose of the condenser is to change the state of the refrigerant. The air that passes
through the condensers cooling fins is colder than the refrigerant, since it looses heat to the
cooling fins. The refrigerant is cooled and starts to change from gaseous form to liquid form.
The liquid, which is still under high pressure, but at a lower temperature, is forced to the drier.
4. The compressor is the active part of the cooling system. It works like a pump in the system
and sucks in evaporated refrigerant from the evaporator and forces it to the condenser.
5. The low pressure outlet is used to fill and empty the low pressure lines.
6. The high pressure outlet is used to fill and empty the high pressure lines.
