Pakistan Act (2010) About
Human Organs Transplantation
❑ Pakistan law sets punishment for commercial dealings in human organs.–
Whoever,–
➢ Makes or receives any payment for the supply of, or for an offer to supply any
human organ.
➢ Seeks to find a person willing to supply for payment of any human organ .
➢Associates with or helps in any manner, in the removal of any human organ
without therapeutic purpose, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term
which may extend to ten years and with fine which may extend to one million
rupees.
➢ Initiates or negotiates any arrangement involving the making of any payment for
the supply.
➢ Publishes or distributes any advertisement about trading of human organs.
Prohibition of Transplantation of
Human Organs Without Authority

✓ Conducting regular inspections of the hospitals


to examine the quality of transplantation .
✓ The first relatives are required to provide proof
of their relationship .
✓ Any manipulation from donor or recipient they
will be penalised.
✓ Two certaficates of brian _death from doctor
after six hours of the donor death and an
intense search about his testament.
✓ Whoever violate this government act will
be imprisoned for a term which may extend to
three years or with fine which may extend to
three hundred thousand rupees or with both.
•The Authorization Committee shall evaluate
that there is no commercial transaction.

❖ A living donor who is not less than eighteen years old can
voluntarily donate an organ or tissue of his body genetically and by
law related (documentary evidence, relevant birth certaficates, or
marriage certaficates ect).

❖ Any person who is not less than eighteen years old may before his
death ,in writing duly signed and verified by the respective
Evaluation Committee to donate.

❖ Tests of relationship evidence shall be done from a laboratory


accredited with national accreditation board of laboratories .

❖ The evaluation commitee ( medical specialists, nephrologist


,neurophysician ,and two local notables who have a good record of
social service ) is established in every recognised hospital to accept
Donation or reject the removal or transplantation of human organs away from
any financial abusement.
Guidelines
❖ Recognised medical institutions and authorised hospitals are the only
ones can do transplantation or removal of any human organ or tissue.
