Human Organs Transplantation
❑ Pakistan law sets punishment for commercial dealings in human organs.–
Whoever,–
➢ Makes or receives any payment for the supply of, or for an offer to supply any
human organ.
➢ Seeks to find a person willing to supply for payment of any human organ .
➢Associates with or helps in any manner, in the removal of any human organ
without therapeutic purpose, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term
which may extend to ten years and with fine which may extend to one million
rupees.
➢ Initiates or negotiates any arrangement involving the making of any
payment for the supply.
➢ Publishes or distributes any advertisement about trading
of human organs.

According to the guiding principle 5 provided in


the WHO Guiding Principles, (as endorsed by
the 63rd World Health Assembly in 2010) :

Cells, tissues and organs should only be donated


freely, without any monetary payment or other
reward.

Payment for any human organ transplantation is


considered as human trafficking.

The ban on trading with human organs should


apply to all individuals and each region's
juridiction must set the methods of prohibition.

organs trade:

➢ No organization or individual may buy or sell human


organs in any form.

➢ Penalty for organ traders : doctors will have their


licences revoked, hospitals will be suspended from

➢ Fines up to 500 000 yuan and five to 10 years'


imprisonment

➢China banned the use or trade of organs from executed


prisoners from 2015.

CONCLUSION

Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of human organ trade is universally condemned . However, despite the
efforts to stop such practice, the buying and selling of organs continues (mostly kidny organ ) including those who need to
improve their social status, individuals to survive or institutions requires fast organs supply . Thus, these practices are
against the law and must be eliminated.
