1 PROCESS FLOW

2 PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This procedure describes guidelines for conducting load test for winch.
The purpose of the procedure is to ensure that the davit structure and embedded foundation to the ship’s
structure can withstand the desired load

3 DEFINITIONS
LSA – Life Saving Appliance

2.2 x Static Load Test davit = 2.2 times the SWL of the lifeboat/rescue boat.
