1. cave (n.

) - a large hole in the side of a cliff, mountain, or under the ground

There is a cave in the side of a mountain. It looks very dark and a bit scary.

I like to walk along the top of the cliffs and look down at the ocean.

I live near the coast, so I go for a walk along the beach every day.

I live in a valley. There are hills all around us.

8. fountain (n.) - a structure that forces water up into the air as a decoration

There is a fountain in the park. It is very beautiful. Water comes out of the top and the sides.

9. skyscraper (n.) - a very tall building

You can see lots of skyscrapers in big cities. They are very tall. Many big companies have offices
inside.
10. stadium (n.) - a large open area with seats around it, used for playing and watching sports

We went to the stadium to watch the rugby game on Saturday.

11. statue (n.) - an object made of hard material, such as stone or metal, that looks like a person or
animal

In big cities, you can often see statues of famous people from a long time ago.

12. stream (n.) - a small river

There is a small stream in the forest near my home.

13. tower (n.) - a very tall, narrow building or part of a building

From the top of the tower, you can see the whole of the city.

14. waterfall (n.) - a stream of water that flows from a high place, often to a pool below

We saw a beautiful waterfall in the forest. We went swimming in the pool below it.
