It shall include a biogas reactor which will collect and convert hogs manure to produce electricity. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT & MONITORING PLAN (EMMoP) The proponent shall ensure that all commitments, appropriate mitigating/enhancing measures and monitoring requirements especially those contained in the /nitial Environmental Examination Checklist shall be instituted and strictly implemented throughout the project implementation including but not limited to the following: 1. Construction of an adequate drainage system and treatment facility to ensure that wastewater generated from the farm shall not contaminate the ground and surface waters and conform to DENR effluent standards; 2. Adequate green buffer zone with appropriate species of fast growing trees shall be planted at the project perimeter particularly in areas facing the community; 3. Implementation of sanitation measures and solid wastes management systems including good housekeeping practices such as handling and disposal of pig manure, carcass, etc. throughout the project cycle to minimize generation of objectionable odor that may cause nuisance to the immediate environs; 4. A Pollution Control Officer (PCO) shall be appointed to effectively handle, implement and manage environment-related aspects of the project, conduct setf- monitoring activities and submit ECC Compliance Monitoring Report (CMR) semi- annually to EMB-CALABARZON; B. GENERAL CONDITIONS 5. The project operations shall conform to the applicable provisions of R. A. 6969 (Toxic Substances, Hazardous Waste Control Act of 1990), R. A. 8749 (Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999), R. A. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), and R. A. 9275 (Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004); 6. The proponent shall initiate tree planting activities within the open spaces for aestethic and environmental purposes and report of which shall be submitted to EMB-CALABARZON, ll, RESTRICTIONS: The Proponent must adhere to the following restrictions: 7. Observe the "No Tree-Cutting Policy’ of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in all phases of project implementation; and 8. Incase of transfer of ownership/management tum-over of this project, these same conditions and restrictions shall apply, unless this ECC is revised in writing. In such case, the transferee shall be required to notify the EMB within fifteen (15) days. Pursuant to Section 9.0 of P. D. 1586, non-compliance with any of the provisions of this ECC shall be sufficient cause for its cancellation or ‘suspension and/or imposition of a fine in an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Pesos (PhP 50,000.00) thereof.
