The Super Jet Airplane For The Bali-Jakarta Route Experience An AX Failure

A super air jet airline for the Bali-Jakarta flight route is suspected of having an AC failure during the flight
which caused the passengers to overheat.

In the video circulating on social media, many passengers in the airplane cabin complained of
overheating when the plane started flying in the air. The plane operates without using air conditioning
for about 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Apart from that, several videos show children crying and several other passengers busy fanning with
makeshift tools because the atmosphere is so stuffy and some people's clothes appear to be soaked
with sweat. They claimed to be dehydrated because the plane's air conditioner was not working.

The super air jet aircraft carries a total of 179 passengers and 6 cabin crew. Flight iu 737 took off at 5.55
PM from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport from Bali to Jakarta.

When it reaches an altitude of 30,000 feet, it indicates that the air pressure control system in the cabin
is not working as it should or is less than optimal, so the pilot has to lower the plane's altitude. This
disturbance causes the air temperature in the cabin to be higher than it should be. The plane landed at
Soekarno Hatta international airport at 6.40 PM.

Responding to this, the main director of Super Air Jet, Ari Azhari, apologized for the incident. Ari
explained the results of the pre-departure inspection, all aircraft systems and equipment were in prime
condition and ready to fly, all passengers had followed the arrival process. He continued that the first
step taken was to thoroughly inspect the plane. This is done to find the cause of the incident or
technical problem. After that, further checks and in-depth analysis were carried out to ensure that the
aircraft was safe for use again.
