Assign 3 HIST EGuide 2023
Create a PowerPoint with supporting notes (on the PowerPoint slides) that presents the curriculum
changes that took place in South Africa post-1994 up until the current Curriculum and Assessment
Policy Statement (CAPS).
Your PowerPoint presentation, including the first cover slide and last reference slide, should include a
minimum of TWELVE slides and a maximum of FOURTEEN slides.
Included must be presenter notes below each slide (these are only able to be seen by the presenter
in the PowerPoint slide layout format) that provide a more detailed explanation and discussion
regarding the reasons that the various curriculum reform changes took place. Your presenter notes
must show that you have summarised and understood why the different curriculum policy changes
post-1994 took place.

Instructions for how to have Turnitin include presenter notes in PDF format:
1. Open your presentation (Make your presenter notes in the PowerPoint
visible. Do not hide notes.
2. Click File;
3. Select Save As;
4. Select Browse;
5. Decide on where you would like to save your document and confirm/ rename the
file name;
6. Click the 'Save as type' drop-down arrow;
7. Select PDF;
8. Select the Options button just below that (Note: Only once you have selected PDF,
the Options button will then appear);
9. Under Publish what:, click the drop-down arrow and select Notes pages;
10. Tick the check box next to the option Include comments and
ink markup (Note: You may also tick the other check boxes, according to your
preference);
11. Lastly, select Ok and Save.
IMPORTANT:
Apply correct academic literacy principles and protocol/conventions and use the Harvard referencing
method. Check your spelling and grammar (perhaps ask someone to proofread). Negative marking
will be applied for negligent work.
Remember you are evaluated at this level (NQF 7) for your analysis, synthesis, judgement and critical
thinking skills in the interpretation of the subject matter. Insight and application is important skills to
cultivate.
Remember to include the Honour Pledge, in the honour pledge TAB created.
