    Dear Director of survey and mapping

    Wizara ya ardhi nyumba maendeleo na makazi

    SLP 9132 DAR ES SALAAM

    SHUWASSA assigned us the task of conducting surveys for the distribution of the water pipe network.
    During the course of the work, it turned out that the survey data we collected had orthometric height,
    whereas the end user required data in ellipsoidal height because they had a digital elevation model
    (DEM) that was created using reference points with ellipsoidal height. We have called Dr. Prosper Ulotu,
    a geodesy expert, to assist us with geoidal udulation for each location in our survey data in order to
    resolve the disparity. He is willing to assist us, but he is concerned that the TGD13 model is ministry
    property, not his own, therefore he has requested us to acquire your approval before he can assist us
    with data processing.
