Personal Statement

As an aspiring leader in the field of international relations and politics, I am thrilled to apply
for the Fulbright scholarship to pursue a master's degree in this field. My unwavering
dedication to understanding global dynamics and promoting diplomatic solutions has shaped
my academic pursuits and professional experiences.

During my undergraduate studies, I embarked on a compelling research journey with a focus

on economic diplomacy. Exploring this topic revealed its pivotal role in achieving diplomatic
objectives and promoting economic policies, underscoring its increasing importance in
modern international relations. My in-depth analysis shed light on the intricate dynamics of
Georgia, a unique buffer country positioned between Europe and Asia, and the profound
impact of its economic ties on its foreign relations.

Moreover, my participation in the Summer School of Political Education solidified my

passion for international relations and politics. Engaging in discussions on the global
economy, participating in stimulating debates with peers, and immersing myself in various
activities reaffirmed my conviction that pursuing an advanced degree in this field was the
path I was destined to take. Strengthening my analytical thinking, fostering teamwork, and
honing my leadership skills through training courses at the Institute of Politics of Georgia
further equipped me for the challenges ahead.

A significant turning point in my journey was the opportunity to participate in gender

equality training courses offered by the School of Gender Equality for Leaders. This
experience invigorated my commitment as a woman to pursue my interests and aspirations in
politics and economics. Inspired by this project, I co-founded the "Georgian Association for
Equality" and established clubs in universities across Georgia, fostering an environment that
champions equality and fairness for all students. Additionally, I spearheaded the "Care for the
Future" educational online campaign, raising awareness among young individuals about
educational issues and the profound value of gaining international experience.

Immersing myself in the intellectual space of the Frances Fukuyama Front Center, I delved
into translating books on Western political and economic topics into Georgian. This endeavor
broadened my understanding of these concepts, enabling profound discussions with fellow
members. Engaging with representatives from esteemed institutions such as the European
Union and the United Nations provided invaluable insights into the intricate relationship
between economics and politics.

Furthermore, freelancing on Upwork exposed me to the global landscape, allowing me to

conduct comprehensive analyses on political, economic, and other pertinent issues. Crafting
reports, essays, and resolutions not only served as a source of income but also fostered the
practical knowledge required to assess risks and threats in my field effectively.
My involvement with the "Thomas Jefferson Research Center" further developed my
analytical and critical thinking skills, crucial for assessing risks and threats in the realm of
international relations and politics.

In summary, my diverse experiences and honed skills make me a robust candidate for the
Fulbright scholarship. I firmly believe that pursuing a master's degree will provide me with
the academic and practical knowledge necessary to achieve my long-term goals. My ultimate
aspiration is to leverage the knowledge and skills gained from this program to contribute
significantly to the development of my country and foster positive global relations.

Thank you for considering my application.
