1. The ventricles of the brain are a communicating network of cavities filled with cerebrospinal
fluid (CSF) and located within the brain parenchyma. The ventricular system is composed of 2
lateral ventricles, the third ventricle, the cerebral aqueduct, and the fourth ventricle (see the
images below). The choroid plexuses are located in the ventricles, which fills the ventricles and
subarachnoid space, following a cycle of constant production and reabsorption. Based on the
description, please explain briefly:
a. Which ventricle produces CSF in the brain
Hampir 70& csf dihasilkan oleh pleksus serebius Ventrikel serebi dan 30& nya dihasilkan
oleh sel ependim yang membatasi ventrikel dan membran araknoid
b. Where does CSF go after the ventricles
c. What is normal CSF
2. Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain
balance and posture. Cerebral palsy is the most common motor disability in childhood. Cerebral
means having to do with the brain. Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles.
Cerebral palsy is caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain
that affects a person’s ability to control his or her muscles. The cause of cerebral palsy and its
effect on function vary greatly. Some people with cerebral palsy can walk; others need
assistance. Some people have intellectual disabilities, but others do not. Epilepsy, blindness or
deafness also might be present. Cerebral palsy is a lifelong disorder. Based on the description,
please explain the different types of cerebral palsy, also signs and symptoms of this
neurological disorders.

3. The musculoskeletal system comprises one of the body's major tissue/organ systems. The three
main types of muscle tissue are skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle groups. Skeletal muscle
attaches to the bone by tendons, and together they produce all body movements. The skeletal
muscle fibers are crossed with a regular pattern of fine red and white lines, giving the muscle
a distinctive striated appearance. Each skeletal muscle consists of thousands of muscle fibers

4. Industrial fermentation is a chemical processes term used to describe the processes that utilize
a chemical change induced by a living organism or enzyme, in particular bacteria, yeasts,
molds, or fungi, that produces a specific product by converting glucose into ethanol and carbon
dioxide:
a. Calculate the mass of ethanol produced if 500.0 grams of glucose reacts completely
b. Calculate the volume of carbon dioxide gas produced at STP if 100.0 grams of
glucosereacts.
c. If 17.5 moles of ethanol were produced, how many moles of glucose were
there in thebeginning?
5. For the reaction 2A+B→C, the values of initial rate at different reactant concentrations are
given in the table below. The rate law for the reactions is:
Data number [A](molL−1) [B](molL−1) Initial rate (molL−1s−1)
1 0.05 0.05 0.045
2 0.10 0.05 0.090
3 0.20 0.10 0.71

6. Nickel plating provides a unique combination of corrosion and wear resistance. It can add
brightness, lustre and appeal. It also provides excellent adhesion properties for subsequent
coating layers. A current of 0.511 amp for 672 s is used to electroplate nickel at the cathode of
an electrochemical cell containing NiSO4 (aq). The number of electrons in the half-cell reaction
is 2. Based on the data calculate:
a. The number of moles of nickel that plate out on the cathode
b. The mass of nickel metal produced.
