CONCLUSION

From this experiment, it is possible to see that our system, at various angles and measurements
of force, was at static equilibrium. As the theory describes , an object in equilibrium will not
accelerate when all the forces acting upon it is zero and when that object is at rest. By equaling
the distances with which the weights were held ,measured in angles and the forces applied, the
metal ring at the top of the force table was held center about the rod without touching
anypoint. The ideas of moment of force had been comprehended by means of static equilibrium
experiment that had been conducted. The laboratory experiment substantial insight regarding
the tabulation of uncertainties ,counterbalancing forces and static equilibrium. In the tables
demonstrated the experimental values had been close. The discrepancies in the measurements
are attributed to the measurement errors which were as a result of; inaccurate angles due to
difficulties of using the protractor on the table .
