5. MID TERM EXAM: The mid -term exam for this paper will be held in Week 5 (21/12/2017). It will be a 1 hour paper
and students will be required to answer 1 Question only.

POLICY ON USAGE OF STATUTE(S) IN EXAMINATION

1. Students are only allowed to bring in CLEAN AND ORIGINAL COPY of statute(s) into the exam venue.

"Clean" is defined to include no tagging, no annotation either by the publisher or anyone else, and no erased marking.

With effect from Trimester 1, 2016/2017, highlighting and underlining shall also be prohibited.

2. Students are not allowed to lend or borrow statute(s) during the Examination.
 

DISCIPLINARY WARNING

Before a law graduate is admitted as an advocate and solicitor, the Bar Council will request for a Confidential Report from the
university on whether there is any ground of objection against the admission as well as whether the graduate is of good
character.

The clarification from the Bar Council on what is not good character "includes, but is not limited to, any act of a criminal nature
which involves fraud or dishonesty. ... including cheating during an examination or being found to have committed an act of
plagiarism."

Kindly be warned that you do not attempt to cheat in the exam or in any assessment or be found to have committed any
disciplinary offence. The university has a legal obligation to convey this information to the Bar Council before the admission of
the candidate, and this may affect the candidate's admission as an advocate and solicitor.
