In fact, he is, like all adolescent boys, a dreamer and an idealist. He is not alive to (‫ )باخبرسے‬the
bitter realities (‫ )حقائق تلخ‬of life. He lives in his dreams. When he experiences the bitter and hard
realities of life, he becomes utterly despaired ( ‫ ) مایوسبلکل‬and sad. At last, he comes to know :
"Every wish is not fulfilled and every dream does not come true."

To conclude, the narrator, who is still a school-boy, is really the representative of his class, that
is, the boys of his age who, being in their adolescence ( ‫)جوانی میںاٹھتی‬, are absolutely unaware of
the hard and bitter realities of the objective (external) world. In this sense, he may be called
"everyman",--a "type" character.
