For my self-correcting material activity,

I made flashcards for the Grade one addition. I designed this activity by

keeping the Universal

Design of Learning concept in mind. These flashcards can be used in three

different ways.

My son will demonstrate by solving these puzzle pieces. Method # 1.

The first way to do this activity is by reading the number stated

on the top part and matching the right shape with the correct answer.

6 + 1= 7, 3 + 4 = 7, 1+ 4 = 5.

Method # 2. The second way this activity can be used is by counting stickers

on the top part of

the egg and then matching the right shape and counting the stickers to get the

right answer.

1,2,3,4,5 + 6,7,8,9,10 = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. 1,2,3 + 4,5,6 = 1,2,3,4,5,6. 1,2,3,4 +

= 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. Method # 3. The third way this activity can be used for the

kids

who preferred sensory learning styles. They can match the 3D stickers at the

back

of the egg to solve the puzzle shapes. The stickers on the top part of the are

exactly

the same as the bottom part of the egg, so the students don't get frustrated.
