Rio Script

Dance 1 [tropical jungle scenery song (after dancing blue is captured)

Scene 1

Storyteller: Blu feels sad and lonely instantly Linda walks by and finds him under a blanket.
They became best friends (dance holding hands together) [library city scenery

Linda: Here is your hot chocolate blu, just how you like it.

Blu: Ah, this is life and a perfect hot chocolate.

(Appears Tulio entering the book store)

Linda: Are you looking for some books ?

Tulio: books? no no l, I’ve traveled 6000 miles looking for him.

Tulio (make some birds sounds)

Linda: so Dr why are you looking for him?

Tulio: you know, your guacamayo is a very special bird, in fact he is the only male in his
species.

Linda: really?

Tulio: yes and recently we found a female and we hope to get them together so they can
save the species.

Linda: Oh sure, when can she come over?

Tulio: oh no no, she is in Brazil, Blu must come to Rio de Janeiro.

Linda: jajaja Río? Brazil? no thanks, he has never been alone

Scene 2 [Rio city scenery
(some birds fly around)
Nico and Pedro appear

Nico and Pedro: hello there!!

Blu (looks nervios explaining) - “I am not from here”

Pedro: hey Nico! He is a tourist!! It’s funny because he doesn’t look like one.

Nico: so are you her for the Carnaval?

Blu: actually I’m here to meet a girl..

(the car goes on and say goodbye)

storyteller: They arrived at the clinic.. Linda, blue and Tulio walk around.

Tulio: every bird here is taken with the most special care so they can recover, look we found
this one last night…

Pepillo appears looking sad

Linda: ohh poor one! Soo… where is Perla?

Tulio: she is over here..

(blue enters the place where Perla is walks around and finds her
Perla appears flying, extending her wings)

Perla : come on, we don’t have time to scape!

(Blue follows her… while trying to scape..
pepillo opens the door for Fernando to capture Blu and Perla with handcuffs)
(Perla tries to scape but pepillo captures her again)

Pepillo: I may look ugly, but I was a super star, now I’m malicious and evil and I’m going to
look the same as me.

Perla and Blu walking in the cage trying to scape

(Blue opens the door)

Perla: I didn’t know you were able to open the cage.. come on, let’s gooo!

Blue: but Perla.. I can’t fly

Perla: then ruuuuuuun

(Pepillo follows them útil he crush)
Scene 3:
Storyteller: In the jungle Perla and blue are walking chain to each other trying to find a place
where they can stay at night

Blu: look over there.

Perla: I can believe I’m walking to a kiosk.

Blu: see who needs to fly?

Perla: birds, birds need to fly! Flying It’s freedom and no having relying in anyone.

Blu: we’ll I’m tired I need to sleep.

Perla: ok, good night blu.

Blue: good night Perla, good night Linda.

(Linda and Tulio are looking on streets for the birds)

Fernando: Hello guys! I know where the birds are. Follow me… (they walk away from the
scene)

Next morning Rafael appears…

Rafael: Are you two lovebird’s heading to Carnaval?

Perla: love birds? No no, we just want to get rid out of this thing.

Rafael: ooh a know the perfect for that’s job

Let’s go to see my friend… let’s get a ride to Louis.

Nico: hey Rafyyyy!

Rafael: we are looking for Louis, have you seen him any way around?

Nico: yes! We know perfectly where he is.

Dance 2 song

Storyteller: Louis, Nico, Pedro, Rafael are on a train heading to Louis. And Nico sings
The trains stops and they finally get to Louis garage.

Rafael: hey Louis! Are you here? I brought some friend I want you to meet.
(Louis comes out running and barking, trapping Blu and Perla)

Louis: I got you goose!

Rafael: heeeey my friend!

Perla: wait wait wait, Louis is a Dog?

Rafael: hey amigo we really need your help.

(Shows the chains)

Louis: I think I know what you need is this…

(Get the table with a cutter machine)

Blu: are you sure this is safe?

Louis: oh sure! There is nothing to be afraid of.

But if something gets wrong, screen really loud cause I can’t hear this this thing on (puts his
helmet)
(They are tumbling around and get stocked in Louis mouth, they are sliding down and they
get free, Perla start to fly happily with others birds)

Scene 4
Perla: hey were you going? What is wrong?

Blu: yes everything is fine you’ll go back to the jungle and I will find linda

Perla: yes I guess…

(They split and Pepillo takes Perla)

(Tulio and Linda trying to find the birds gets inside the parade with guacamaya costumes
And dance in the carnaval)

Pepillo: one down and one more to go

Perla: you will never find him, he is too smart.

Pepillo: I don’t need to find him, he is going to find you.

Storyteller: Blu and his friends arrive in the parade. Blu finds Perla and pepillo puts him and
his friends in cage

(Blu tied everything to scape and all the birds fly)

Perla: common Blu! We have to go! Spread your wings and fly.

(Blue start to fly and finds linda and Tulio)

Fernando: Linda look

Linda: blu? Are you flying? Blu is flying Tulio! He es flying!! That is my big brave boy!
