in 2022 to 55th in 2023), tax policy (from 13th to 14th), institutional framework (from 53rd to 56th), business legislation
(from 52nd to 57th) and societal framework (from 50th to 53rd).

PURPOSE OF THE
CORPORATION
The proposed Code seeks to establish a new
concept of business corporations so that they are
not merely entities established for private gain but
effective partners of the National Government in
spreading the benefits of capitalism for the social
and economic development of the nation.

VOCATION OF BUSINESS
Aim for
PROFESSIONALS
unity of life
Business leaders are called to engage with the
contemporary economic and financial world in
light of the principles of human dignity and the
common good.

An obstacle to serving the common good is a

divided life. The split between faith and daily
practice can lead to imbalances and misplaced
devotion to worldly success.
