THE COMPARISON OF PHU QUOC ISLAND AND LY SON ISLAND

Ly Son island and Phu Quoc island are two worth-visiting places in Vietnam, but
they have many similarities and differences. These islands are located in different
regions of Vietnam. Ly Son is in the Central, and Phu Quoc is in the Southern. Phu
Quoc island is larger than Ly Son with 574km, and Ly Son island is 10,39km. In
general, both have warm weather, but they have different right times to travel.
Traveling to Phu Quoc from October to December is the best time because the
season is changing from the rainy season to the dry season at this time. Besides, the
temperature is not too hot, which is also suitable for traveling or swimming. This is
also the peak time of Phu Quoc island with 324,000 tourists only in November last
year. About Ly Son island, April to August is the right time to travel there because
the weather is dry, sunny, less rainy, and calming sea. Phu Quoc and Ly Son have
many iconic places worth visiting. Such as Phu Quoc Night Market, and some
specialty foods are also sold there such as Goi ca trich, nam tram, and Sim wine
that are obliged to try. In addition, Vinpearl Phu Quoc also includes many must-try
activities and places such as Astronaut in the ocean, Vinpearl safari, and Vinpearl
land. On Ly Son island, Gieng Tien volcano, To Vo gate, Be island, and Mu Cu
island are iconic places, and Ly Son's specialty foods such as Cua huynh de, Oc xa
cu, and Goi rong bien are must-try there. Ly Son and Phu Quoc also have long
crystal-clear and turquoise-blue beaches and coral reefs such as Dai beach, Khem
beach in Phu Quoc, and Be island in Ly Son. Thanks to these things, these two
islands attract a large number of tourists every year, but these two islands' numbers
of tourists are very different gaps. In 2022, Ly Son island attracted 135,000
tourists, but Phu Quoc island attracted nearly 35 times more than Ly Son island
with 4,7 million tourists. In short, Ly Son island and Phu Quoc island are still two
worth-visiting places with crystal-clear beaches and diverse cuisine in Vietnam.
